World PRIDE 2014: ORAD and the Trans March

Hello! My name is Lex. And this is my sign name. I'm one of ORAD's pride directors. This year at World Pride, we have a Trans* march. ORAD will be involved with the Trans* march. This means everyone is welcome to join! Deaf, hard-of-hearing, deaf-disabled, deaf-blind folks and etc, are welcome to join! The Trans* march is to support trans* identified folks to express their feelings with messages and signs to show the World who we are, to show how we can change the world for the better. ORAD has a group of folks that will be attending the march. Everyone is welcome to join. How to be involved? You'll find a group of folks signing and you can join us! We will be meeting up at 7 PM. We will be meeting at the North Stage. There will be a map distributed by World Pride that explains where to go. At 7 pm, there will be a rally, to listen to messages by the speakers about the Trans* march, the history, and why we are marching today. This year at World Pride, they have a special goal to appoint marginalized trans* folks as leaders, for example: trans* women of colour, and disabled trans* folks. World Pride welcomes those marginalized folks to lead the front of the march. If you want to show the world who you are without shame, to be involved with the march, you are welcome to join. That Friday night, find us and we'll arrange how to express ourselves.
