My team has been doing better than any year before. This gives me hope. Then I see teams like this. This ruins any hope I had

their parents do all the hard work. trust me, I see it far too often.
@BrandonFTC1122819 күн бұрын
@@0xCUBE I'd refrain from assuming parent/coaches "do all the hard work" for every team. Every team is run by coaches/parents with different goals in mind - but there's plenty of teams with students who put in the work and achieve successful results ;)

You guys got 11 specimen (110 pts), 11 samples (88 pts) and 15 from hang for a total of 213 pts, where did the other 88 points come from? Edit: do specimen and samples scored in auto count towards both auto and teleop points?

auto maybe? idk i saw 70 being scored near the start of teleop

For 7-8th grade robotics, this is ridiculous. Zero chance a kid had any real role in doing anything on these teams. Also, these elite robots are very expensive. I am a mentor. These high end bots r built by engineers with nothing better to do in their off time
@ardentchaos4914 күн бұрын
You are making wild assumptions that just serves to demean these kids. The bot is made of stock gobilda parts, common slides, and very straight forward cad for 3d printed parts. No custom machining or engineering. The team worked tirelessly in the off season (6-10hr) per week to build their skills and 20hr per week since the start of the season to get where they are now. They’ve torn apart and rebuilt this bot nearly a dozen times and iterated subsystems countlessly to get it done. We have a mature program that allows us to accelerate student education and efficiently leverages past years knowledge. As a mentor I would expect a higher level of Gracious Professionalism from you. Smart, dedicated students willing to outwork other teams, supported by a program designed to help them achieve their goals is an amazing thing to behold. I am so proud of this team for what they have accomplished so far.

I mentor the team. See my other reply. Your assumptions are false.
