Does that wrap help the same amount as the one that stretches from elbow to elbow? If so, then yea that's too much help. I've tried with my friends wraps from elbow to elbow and flat benched 225lb for 42 reps without breaking a sweat after a 5 hour workout. Cooper does have so much talent. Its crazy. He is so about work ethics and very good technique. The guy in the red blows my mind pushing what he does at his size. My bench sucks i wish i could get it better thats the one thing that was never my best suite . Eddies son will be breaking records someday. That kid is strong.

Is there any benefit to half-repping and/or bouncing the weight beyond ego?
@AIRDRAC
@AIRDRAC 8 ай бұрын
Less strain on the joints, as you don't risk locking them at the top. And likely also a bit more muscle build-up, at the expense of less range, due to being able to add more weight.
@Couldhavebeensomeone

Exactly, he's using a softer bar, bouncing, and not one rep was locked out. He'd do half of those if he did real reps.
@RealPlasmodium
@RealPlasmodium 2 ай бұрын
No. Bouncing the weight results in less muscle gain because of momentum so he’s effectively doing nothing for growth.

Great colab, really enjoyed this. Some amazing lifts. I remember reading that Hermann Goerner used to overhead press his thick handled barbell and then drop it and catch it in the crux of his arms. It was 330lbs non rotating and the handle was 2 and 3/8inch thick, at the time no one else could lift it and you could win a large sum to lift it.
