the tower disappears because the retry last round works on an autosave system that occurs at the end of every round. finish round 1 with the tower and then do whatever to keep the tower upgrade progress.

Ok I’m fairly certain that the reason you lose immediately sometimes is because at those later levels bloons move so fast that they reach the end of the track in a single frame. Or more accurately, you break the BAD layer the frame it enters, the DDTS move half the map in one frame, get broken into Cerams, then the cerams instantly blip the other half of the map in one frame. You essentially lose on frame 3 + the amount of time it takes a projectile to go from the monkey to the entrance

The likely reason it wasn't as laggy as you expected it to be is because there is a limit on attack speed and range. Range is obvious, there's no reason to go any higher than the full map range, so that's about 333k upgrades just lost entirely. And attackspeed probably has some limit, like one attack per tick. And there isn't a way for the game to calculate two attacks per tick, so it probably is the reason. The UJug is the laggiest part, because the splitting balls causes so much more lag. Added to that the extremely high damage numbers being calculated for every tick an attack is performed on every bloon on screen. So if you had say 1k on attack speed, and about 20 upgrades on range, you'd reach the max for those two categories, the rest can be for damage, which has ALMOST no limit.

i have a theory that the reason the game works smoothly at first and then starts getting laggy is because the mods cache some data and starts getting overloaded so i'm curious if deleting and reinstalling the mod semi often would make it way smoother for you

It wasn't laggy probably because dart monkey not able to attack faster then every frame. So that means the max attack speed was WAY lover then a million😅

If you do this again i recommend you get an autoclicker that you can set the number of clicks on so you can just type 333,333 and leave your computer that way youll never go over and you can get it as high as you want without getting carpel tunnel
