Theres a mod called brainstorm that allows you to create save states that you can load back to anytime in the game. Idk if you would consider using that during a run cheating but if not you can use it to undo a mistake or if you do consider it cheating it is still very useful for scouting a seed

The Manacle boss could be dealt with by keeping a couple of Cryptids in hand, one for Discard and one to Play, so you'd be free to use the Ectoplasm earlier.

27:20 isnt it the the most effective "the arm"? it reduces your score by about 60k chips. or even more than that, becuase it gets balanced. its the lowest percentage but the highest chips amount.

Yeah in absolute terms it would be the largest debuff for sure But I was thinking in percentages, because my score goes down by essentially 0.2% ~= (1-1504/1507)*100 Because for instance, going from level 2 to level 1 would have a much larger impact in the early game, even if it’s less total chips I guess it depends on how you look at it! Still very funny to me either way 😂

If you're playing seeded, wouldn't High Card be easier than Four of a Kind? In particular, you could get a negative Troubadour early on, and that plus the hand size vouchers is enough to use one more Ectoplasm. Or, alternatively, you could duplicate Chicot with Invisible Joker a few times, and use that plus the Manacle to grow your hand size, and use a couple more Ectoplasms; that'd take longer to bootstrap, though. Another possibility would be a negative Invisible Joker. Any of those could potentially allow you to get a larger number of Blueprints or Brainstorms, each of which gives you another couple of hand levels every round.

Im mainly playing 4oak to stay alive in the late game, I get a lot more benefits from hack, polychrome, and glass when playing 4oak than high card I agree the extra joker slot would be nice, but I never found a naturally occurring negative troubadour on this run, so idk how I could on this seed - maybe another seed would work

I got naneinf in my last video but it took until exactly ante 39 to get it to happen I think I could get it a few antes earlier like maybe ante 35 at the earliest, but idk how hard that would be Edit: I think if you meant: “if the game didn’t end on Ante 39, this run could go on forever” I think yes, once you get naneinf once with this build, you can continue to get it every blind after because you arent burning through cards like the steel king strat So if every blind after ante 39 was nan vs naneinf, this run wouldn’t end If someone modded the game where the game didn’t end on Ante 39, I would try to do that in a run and get like Ante 100 lolllll

I actually found the seed on the black deck, and it turns out all the RNG for a seed is independent of the deck, so the same seed works on the plasma deck The reason for choosing the plasma deck, is because of the plasma deck’s effect, I need in practice half as many planet cards to get the same score as compared to a different deck The plasma deck just really enables the super late game antes

That's a beautiful optimization demonstration BUT it could have been MUCH higher. With a space joker which gives on average 2 levels per hand play and 2 per retrigger, that makes a good 10 level per hand. At a certain point, planet cards alone are not enough to win the hand so it is possible to play several hands which give 10 level. Since you end up with 5 hand, 4 can be used for lvl up, and the last for the win. This would obviously take a LOT of time with the animations but could give a final lvl of 200 to 400 lvl higher (with very conservative estimates). To conclude, congratulations on this world record, looking forward to watching your next video.✌️

I'll preface this by saying you're a madman and congratulations I think you'd have saved a lot of heartache of you just exploited the so-called bug with consumables the game only saves the state when you: open/exit a pack exit/reroll/enter shop select/skip blind play/discard a hand anything else you can quit to main menu and resume to revert to a state before you make a mistake like Ecto hitting the wrong Joker or selling something you needed

you can use this to do stuff like checking Invis Joker triggers check Judgement/Emperor/Priestess contents or checking Ecto trigger

I agree it would save time, but, to me it feels a little bit like a glitch / shortcut / bug I think it is something that would be fixed in a patch (unless the dev said this is intentional I could be wrong), and to me I like the concept of keeping it “legit” / random, so I don’t plan on doing it for the time being But don’t let that stop you or anyone else from doing it! Intuitively, it feels like burglar+ space+ oops should be a better combo than perkeo + burnt. After the initial investment of the space joker and 2 dice, every copy of burglar is 3 levels per round, +the default hands you have, compared to only 2 levels per round (1 on perkeo and 1 on burnt). Maybe the scoring becomes too much of a problem without the observatory buff, but also because you only need uncommons for this strategy maybe you can reset for a natural negative, which helps a lot. I'm not nearly dedicated enough to try to make that build work, but I'd be interested to see what you think about the viability of this (or if you'd be down to sink 20 hours on trying to break your own record again :D ) Maybe if this record is ever beaten (which I'm assuming isn't the case yet because the description hasn't updated) you could try to grab it back that way. In any case, awesome run, subbed after seeing you followed through with the pinned comment thread, it was hilarious 😂
