So this is one of the wettest dreams of all soldier mains who plays on RJ maps (not including me) I've been playing rocket jump maps since 2012, but having that level of skill to perform such jump or run its just mind blowing. Im just glad there's channels like yours who upload these type of content for the jump community, keep it up man, happy holidays!

21:00 minor correction, linux wallbugs are nowhere near tick perfect, the crouch timing is so lenient that it almost doesn't matter
@ixam338 Жыл бұрын
ah ty, I’ll add it to the description
@ILDPRUT Жыл бұрын
there isn't even any timing. you just wiggle close to the wall and crouch whenever you want.
@vavlietf2410 Жыл бұрын
Good work! Few minor precisions/corrections: 2:39 - I understand the desire of not wanting to go too deep into how bounces/bouncehops work, but whether or not a bhop/pb is possible is more a matter of vertical alignment than speed. 3:20 - It's less about "saving time or being lazy", more about the fact that there was no real consensus back then on what to use for teleheight, and it might even have something to do with how it was set up in the original conc map. 4 units isn't that silly to use anyway since it's a power of 2, which are generally nice to work with in hammer. Eventually teleheight 1 became fairly normalized, but as it turned out when bounces were figured out, that wasn't the most judicious choice for everything... 3:35 - It's probably worth mentioning too that bounces were not really a thing until around 2012, and even then it took a few more years to figure out how they really work and what kind of setup can be used or is viable. 5:45 - The busted TAS rockets tangent is in my opinion completely unnecessary, since it's highly unlikely it had any impact on naykenn's results. As it's presented, people who already know of the bug probably won't find it pertinent, and people who didn't know about it will probably just get confused and not understand what it's all about. 11:05 - The maximum teleheight for jumpbug actually fluctuates based on vertical alignment, and goes from ~4.25 to ~6.25 units. It can also go a bit higher if you jumpbug with a lot of horizontal speed, but that's not super important. But in any case, you can't jumpbug with 7 units teletrigger. 12:14 - To add insult to injury with the unintentional troll, the teleheight at the hole level is _still_ 4 units high, which should be possible to jumpbug. It's just that it's a 4 units high trigger that also happens to be 4 units above the ground, making it effectively 8 units high. I'm guessing it was probably just dragged up by accident at one point during mapping. 21:00 - There is no tick perfect input involved in Linux Wallbug, you just need to break the surface extension of the wall with a bit of wiggle (effectively getting closer to the wall), and then press crouch whenever you want to wallbug. Timing isn't precise at all, making it probably the easiest sort of wallbug to perform and control once you've figured out the inputs. It's also worth noting that as an additional unintentional troll, there is a linux wallbug in the hole level... but it's inside the hole itself. Can still be used to make the transfer on top a bit "safer", but you still have to do the hard move the usual way. Also it would have been nice to mention that when going for your first completion on the map, you are contractually obligated to fail the transition from the hole to the floor on top at least once.

yes yes boshy is a cheater but that's not really relevant to the topic now is it lol
@mooncalf_4534 Жыл бұрын
@@fredjump8107 It's relevant to people's opinions on him. If this video popped off in the algorithm for whatever reason and hit like a million views, there's gonna be 950,000 non-endemics learning about RJ for the first time through "the RJ Wirtual!" and all 950,000 of them will think Boshy's a god. Literally there are comments here saying Boshy is the "hefest of RJ". No. He's the Riolu of RJ and giving someone like that credit isn't a good thing to do. Like would making a 5 second single sentence caveat when referencing him really be SO detrimental to your personal enjoyment that it would offset the value of not potentially misleading hundreds, thousands or if the algorithm likes it, potentially a million + non-endemics about the state of the community and the heroes in this community?

@@mooncalf_4534 Comparing a player that has been cheating actual full track runs for like a decade to a player who cheated bonuses and tricks... I'm just saying that the severity of comparison is overblown with your analogy. I'm not saying that what Boshy did isn't bad.
