World Refugee Day 2023 | Providing mental health support in Tongogara refugee camp, Zimbabwe

Conflict and unrest in the Great Lakes and Horn of Africa region - in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Ethiopia and Eritrea- have displaced large numbers of people who have moved to Tongogara Refugee camp.
MSF’s mental health programme in Tongogara refugee camp, Zimbabwe, is strengthening people’s resilience and coping mechanisms with the provision of psychological first aid, the formation of support groups and the use of distraction activities.
