Madolsima and Mini words end in Madolsima is also nice if the weather is ok. Also try "Peessa ella" waterfall which located in Lunugala area (near madolsima). But, from your current location (Ella) to Madolsima will be a bit far.

Private buses are crazy on the roads, even STB buses are nowadays crazy on the roads , feel very sad about their ignorant behaviour, we need to do something for this urgently and tell this issue to the authorities loudly. Someone please show this video to the President, we can expect a solution to this issue from him. Thank you Johnny for raising the awareness regarding the buses in our country.

I went to Sri Lanka back in 2015 and stayed at the " beauty mount resort" - very nice view as well for cheap. I met very nice and welcoming people all over the country and went to Ella as well. The most european city I found. I do agree with the crazy bus drivers honking all the time with music soooooooooooo loud 😂😂😂. Really thought I would die. But it was an amazing moment and this is a lot thanks to the people.

I've been to Sri Lanka two times and have seen some Crazy things with the buses. I like you would hope that the Government of Sri Lanka would do something about the BAD driving in Sri Lanka.

could you please make a written complain about these buses to Sri Lankan authorities ..If lots of tourists individually or as groups complain about this issue then probably they would wake up from their sleep..That's the best tourists can do for making SL better..Theses private buses are shit.. Report these incidents to local police stations, local news reporters etc, then it will be telecasted on TV news and it would create awareness and get more attention of authorities

Unfortunately relevant authorities don't bother about public concerns about bus drivers because 1. Most of these bus owners are political figures or related to politics 2. Parliament Ministers get a tax free vehicle import license and he will travel on a super luxury vehicle. 3. The most funny think is that new cabinet minister appointed to look after transport is a 77 year old guy Be safe in your bike rides because most of these riders are careless and there are lot of bus accidents daily across the country due to less effective mechanisms in place to curtail these drivers. You as a tourist can make a difference if you can make a complain to some relevant authorities bringing some TV channels
