There is no greater way to show how much you love someone, then to cook a delicious meal! Your Mom is the sweetest and has certainly done a fantastic job, not only raising a family, creating wonderful food, but sharing that love with others! You are all very kind, generous and wonderful people. Thanks!

I second that, and just made a batch of these home made noodles, the dough is 'resting' now, i will cut & dry enough to cook for one meal for myself, and freeze the rest for later. Thank You! You have a wonderful son.

I have never made noodles in my life. I watched your video and said give it a try. I took my laptop into the kitchen and got to work. So easy, had to ad half an eggshell of water, the dough was so soft. Easy to cut and they were wonderful!!! Thank you~

I gotta say...cooking today isn't like it was back then!!!! On the other note....Im a 51 year old women who has all respect for elders..Moms...Dads..Grand parents...so on....They knew the right way!!!! I do cheat from time to time caz way to busy to cook sometimes but....it never tastes the way I knew it back then when I do so!!!!! Take the time..It is so well worth it!!!!!! Thank You for this video....!!!!!

Thank you so much for this video! I daresay I enjoyed it more than any Food Network video recipe I've watched recently. I tried following a text-only recipe online last night for old fashioned chicken-and-noodles, but my dough was too dry so I added another egg, which I think made my noodles turn out very tough and chewy. It's so nice to see someone else work through a homemade noodle recipe so I know the RIGHT thing to do! I also had no idea I could use a food processor! So I will definitely be trying again tonight, with YOUR help, to salvage my leftovers. Thanks again! Edit: Also, thanks for the tip about cutting the dough into sections and folding pieces over one another for cutting quickly - that makes a huge difference in prep time!

Love this family. Your instructions are precise and easy to follow. I have been trying to duplicate my mother-in-law’s noodles for 20 years. She would make us chicken and noodles every time she came to visit us in Las Vegas. My noodles are always a failure. I will try your recipe today. My husband’s family was from Montana too.

The restaurant was in Red Lodge, in the early '60s. It was called The Chuck Wagon Cafe, a few doors down from the larger Red Lodge Cafe. Later they moved just across the border to Wyoming, and ran The Sportsman Cafe in Cody, a little cowboy cafe similar to their one in Montana.

Very good recipe and professional presentation. In my childhood, most of the noodles served at the family dinner table were handmade by my mother using a recipe very similar to this. Just one question: For people who have health concerns regarding the use of raw eggs (not I), would it be more prudent to let the wrapped dough ball rest in the refrigerator before rolling out the dough? Many thanks. I just subscribed and hope to view more of your presentations.

She had a wonderful marriage to a wonderful man, and lived out her life surrounded by love. It is great that people can share a little bit of her through her videos.

Good afternoon, I made some noodles today , I was wondering do you have a video of making the them with the noodle maker ?
@bbbacres3 жыл бұрын
This recipe was meant to duplicate the recipe used by John and Gerry Barrett over the decades. these handmade noodles are more rustic and a little thicker almost like a dumpling. We prefer those ourselves. If you do want to use a machine there are many noodle making recipes on KZbin which will adequately demonstrate it. But at least give these homemade noodles A Try by hand
