This is the most beautiful cooking video I have ever watched. I was deeply touched watching this amazing recipe come to life, and hearing all the love and joy that your grandma brought to every holiday gathering. I absolutely love the back and forth views between your grandma's hands and yours -- heart wrenching and beautiful in equal measure. I am so thankful you chose to share the deep bond you and your grandma have that is illustrated perfectly with this recipe. I think it's such a treasure to have recipes like this handed down from generation to generation. Those experiences can never be taken away from either of you. God bless you big, my sweet friend. xoxoxo

Thank you, Shannon! That means so much to me and that you could see that I put my heart into this. I watched her enjoy making this for her family for almost 40 years and it never occurred to me that there would be a time where she wouldn't be able to. When I make it, it's like she's right next to me.

I'm goodness, my mother made these but I never knew how. This is exactly how she made them, thank you thank you. I'm crying so hard remembering her..oh how I miss her.
@MrsKringlesKitchen5 жыл бұрын
Aww, I hope you consider making them. There's nothing like mom or grandma's homemade recipes to help us reconnect with them. I'm sure she'll be smiling watching you make them!

As a nurse that cares for Alzheimer's and Dementia patients for the past 35 years this touches my heart. My mom is nearing 90 now and I'm just now realizing how special all the years of her special cooking and love of feeding us really meant to her as I take on the role and pass it down to my children. God bless you and thank you for this heartfelt video.

Thank you so much for the amazing work you do. I know the families appreciate it! Food really does connect generations of family and it's not until a loved one loses their ability to make their signature dish how strong that bond is. I know your children likely feel the same connection with your dishes as well!

I’m sitting here crying because I misplaced my grandma’s noodle recipe and she’d dead now, thanks for putting this one up for us to use. I hope I find it, but this looks to be close to it. I’m glad to have a “grandma” noodle alternative. I know it seems silly to cry over a lost recipe-but I think it’s more about her than about the noodles.
@MrsKringlesKitchen5 жыл бұрын
It's not silly at all! Those recipes are so cherished and such a strong connection to those who aren't with us anymore. I hope this one is close enough to your grandma's recipe that it can bring you some comfort going into the holidays.

I have just discovered your channel and I have no words to describe how this tutorial has touched my heart. I am 60 years old and lost my Grandmothers many years ago. They were both amazing country cooks and cooked on a wooden stove and oven winning many prizes at the local show (fair).My Mum was also a wonderful cook and although she left me with her recipes they never taste quite the same as when she made them 😢 I hope to have Grandchildren of my own one day and I pray that I share with them the same bond and love that you have for yours. God bless all the amazing women who have gone before us!!! Sending warm wishes from Australia xx

Thank you so much Belle! I am so glad this video connected with you and I'm sure you will be able to pass down your recipes as well. There are so many younger people who don't have people that have the patience to teach them to cook. So if anyone ever compliments your cooking and wants to learn how, share that love of cooking whether they're related or not. I just lost Grandma less than a month ago and I haven't had the courage to watch this again yet but soon. Take care and big hugs to you!

This is such a beautiful video and tribute to your Grandmother. What a beautiful way to honor her and pay tribute to her. I, too had a special Grandmother. When she passed, the family broke away from gathering at her home. It wasn't the same without her there. I thank God I do have memories of her and reminisce of her homemade baked foods & desserts. I am the only one in our family who still bakes from scratch, like she did. I love the video you showed. I still make the same cookies she made for us at Christmas time to this day in memory of her. Your Grandma's noodles look delicious. Thank you for sharing this special video and story with us. God bless Grandmother's everywhere!!! XOXO :)

Thank you, Lila! That means a lot to me. I am so happy you make your grandma's cookies and keep her memory alive. It truly does keep that connection to family and even generations that didn't get to meet can feel the love of recipes past. Amen to that...God Bless Grandmas!

This is such a great, emotional video. My Mom passed away last June at the age of 88. She had her North Dakota breakfast recipe (she grew up on a farm in North Dakota). My brother and sister and I all know how to make it, and we do, from time to time.. I miss making and eating that breakfast with her.

This video is so special. My Mom passed away in 1999. I never got any of her recipes. I started my channel so my kids would have a record of all the recipes I make and love. I'd give anything to have some of our family recipes. So glad you have that cookbook. It's definitely priceless. Those look so delicious. Thanks for sharing😃

Thanks so much Christy! I'm so sorry you didn't get your mom's recipes. So often we never think to ask for family recipes so that is wonderful that you're giving your children the gift of your channel. (And the rest of us too!) I also started mine so if God forbid something happened to me, my hubby could still know how to make his favorite recipes.

How special ❤️ Both my grandmothers were wonderful bakers. I would do anything to be able to stand next to them and bake with them today. I have some recipes that were handed down to me by my mother that were either hers or her mother’s. They are special to me. Thanks for sharing this heartfelt video with us. There is nothing better to keep us all connected to special women that helped shape us into who we are than through the food they made for their families. It's almost like when you prepare their recipes, you feel them with you. Thanks so much for stopping by, Delores. I hope your recovery is coming along!

💖✝ Why did it show your Grandma rolling up the dough?
@MrsKringlesKitchen7 жыл бұрын
Grandma would roll her dough up and cut the noodles that way. I always had more success laying them flat and cutting them that way.
