@@AlexanderAyling Just watched Episode 2. Sorry that your Dad had to cut the ride short. I agree that the ride into Gateway was spectacular! Can't wait to see the last two days of the ride. The only concession to my age was to arrange a ride from Gateway to the Colorado/Utah boundary. I was cautioned about the difficulty of the ride up the pass. I'm sure you'll comment on it in Episode 3. BTW, all the other riders with me were on full-suspension bikes. I rode my Why Cycles Supple Seven hardtail with 26.5 x 3" tires. Very stable!

You could definitely ride a motorcycle out there but you can't stay in the huts if you're using a motor vehicle.

Looks awesome! I love your adventures, so much so that my hubby and I did Ireland with all your tips on vaga brothers. We recently started riding in March but more so road biking and very light trails on hybrid bikes. The most we’ve done is 26 miles so far on mostly flat ground. What do you recommend we do to prepare for this type of mountain biking obstacle? We don’t have mountain bikes, so looking at buying some this fall.

@@AlexanderAyling Riding out the pandemic in Baltimore County! Close to the PA line, but not too far from the city that I can't get some crab cakes when I have an urge. The city definitely has issues, but the places I frequent don't feel unsafe at all to me. Telluride and that part of Colorado has been on my bucket list for awhile. My work situation is going to be a lot more flexible later this year, so hopefully I can swing by for a week or two. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
