The world's deadliest sniper has reportedly joined the Ukraine army to fight the Russian invasion. Sniper ‘Wali’ said he felt “like a firefighter who hears the alarm ringing” after Ukrainian President called on foreigners to join the war. Wali reportedly holds the world record for the longest confirmed kill of 3.5 kilometre when he shot down an ISIS fighter in Mosul, Iraq. Wali also did a stint as a foreign fighter against Islamic State in northern Iraq several years ago, as per reports.

This is clearly a PR piece and his presence is symbolic in a major way to boosting morale. Snipers can take out commanders which in turn will more likely discombobulate the enemy infantry. They can be used to take out high value targets and is effective in urban warfare. If Wali is close to what he is in the tales, then he will have a great impact for sure. Only problem is his life is greatly at risk if he goes in the frontlines. Killing somebody like him will demoralize the troops because "he doesn't suppose to die". He's not fighting guys in pajamas anymore. When Germany helped Finland after Russia attacked it Finnish Jews and German soldiers fought together against Russia. Jews had field synagogues during the war and German soldiers were welcomed and joined in prayers with them. Hitler granted three Finnish Jews the Iron Cross (highest honorable medal in German army then) for bravery. Some of the Jewish women also got second class Iron Cross for war efforts. Now one can get about 1-4 year prison sentence for refusing to fight or help in war efforts when the country is at war. Finland had nothing to do with Nazism. Jews were just like other people in Finland. Germany was only country to help Finland when Russia attacked it and when Finland signed peace deal with Russia, German troops destroyed the Northern Finland. As a symbol swastika has been used for thousands of years in every country in the world as a symbol of peace and good luck. The use of swastika symbol and it's meaning spreaded from India to everywhere by trade.

The last thing a sniper wants, is for the enemy to know he is out there. If I were him, I would not be impressed with all the attention I am receiving, as stealth is part of the importance of being a good sniper. Seeing one of your comrades drop dead right it front of you and not hearing the gunshot, has an unnerving affect on the psyche of a soldier. Hope all the attention he is receiving does not become detrimental to his mission in the Ukraine. One Shot, One Kill...... then repeat. Hope he is successful in his mission, but lets not forget that Russian and it's supporters most likely have skilled snipers too. They just don't make themselves part of the public eye.

We should never forget that there is a separate unit in the army to identify and wipe out snipers including the world's best. They are always on the lookout for snipers, especially the efficient ones. Wali should just make sure, he does not get caught. Ukraine is a bad place and the world's best snipers are there and working overtime. Snipers never miss other snipers. They will be tracked down. This is war.
