I totally agree with the Yellostone Park star gazing opportunity, as I visited there as a youngster in '78. I'd also recommend. The southern Philippines, particularly Palawan.

It's sad that we need to travel to designated areas to see a natural occurring wonder that has been there forever. Put me in a home, alone in an isolated mountainous area surrounded by woods and really dark skies. I'd be happy for life.

Same here tbh. Lived in India for 10 years and missed the night sky there. You would see so many stars that you wouldn’t even be able to count them. Went back a year ago and light pollution has taken over it sucks that they haven’t done anything about this

I don't know why but whenever I see the night sky I get so scared my heart starts to hurt because of the stars and galaxies they look so small but in reality are billions of times bigger than the earth and the earth is so big it takes many weeks to travel around it in a airplane.

The pictures where the ground and surrounding area is also very dark, yes. But if the rest of the picture is brightened, then that means the stars have been artificially brightened as well. If you go to the Atacama Desert, I’ve heard you’ll get an experience you’ll never forget or regret as long as you live.
