This was the final night of drag racing at Mission Raceway for the 2019 racing season. I managed to get 4 runs in and damn was it ever a night of spectacular racing conditions. I had the time of my life setting a new personal best as well as setting a new world record for a customer owned, stock turbo, Audi RS3. What a wild ride this entire racing season has been!!!

Hey Vancity awesome stuff your doing man, ive got the same rs3 as u with cc tuning but i just wanna suggest something ,, i find when you hold the car into launch a while longer it launches way faster , well thats my opinion anyhow maybe try it and see if she goes quicker

Thanks for the advice, but I did try that and it was slower on Unitronic launching the car that way. Unitronic suggests getting it to redline and letting it fly rather than sitting on it. Using their method netted a 1.46 60ft. The fastest I have ever got off the line.

Is there any necessary parts to use e85 fuel for rs3? For example, a flex fuell sensor??. Otheretc What parts do we need to fit in the car for use e85 my rs3?

Any time you want to use E85 in any car you should always install and ethanol content analyzer to know what your content is at all times. Besides that they list all the necessary parts you'll need at www.getunitronic.com/ecu-tuning/Audi-RS3-8V-25TFSI-2018-2018-stage2-e85

Congratulations man!!!!! So happy to see you are almost getting there, this is a monster!!! And about this new technique for launches, people call it "upswing". Why do you think its better ? Less boost, so less wheel spin? That would be the case of reducing the rpm of launch, to 3k or 2.5k maybe. Or even asking to reduce the boost in 1st gear i dont know. Congratz again!!!

That whole launching on the upswing seems to be the best way to launch on Unitronic software. I imagine it is because of less boost coming on immediately at launch. I will be continually working with Unitronic to hopefully get more launch control options available to the end user

Oh wow, Congrats! One of the first things I want to do with my rs3 is run e85. I plan to go with the Unitronic MPI kit. What are you using to read/measure ethanol content? Any recommendations on a gauge setup? I see there’s a flex it app...any thoughts on that?

I'm using a Zeitronix gauge to read my ethanol content. Works amazingly well. I'm not a fan of the Fuel-It app setup because to see your ethanol content you have to have the app open on your phone. Not only that, but my Fuel-It sensor was off 5 ethanol points and I replaced the sensor within 2 months of owning it.

@@ediddles same NHRA rules in the states that we have here. I've just found that my track is WAY more strict on making sure everyone follows them. It really sucks. I know plenty of guys in the states that run 9's and are never asked for a cage.

Thank you. Another person tried to give me the same advice. Sadly though the Unitronic launch control works best with a quick hit of the rev limiter and let it fly. Unlike the Custom Code tune where you get better launches by letting a bit of boost build first.

So how's that car holding up? I heard the part about the bent rod, sucks. I came on looking to see if anyone has a true fully forged motor available but haven't seen anything. You don't sound stupid, you're just a regular guy and fan so don't worry about that stuff man, you're braver than most. That car must weigh next to nothing all stripped out like that. Car is doing extremely well. I have forged rods, rod bearings, pistons and head studs. Car weighed just over 3000lbs on these runs. Thank you!

@@VancityAudi Just curious, have you ever tried running Sport Cup 2's on your car? If you can maintain traction you'd save a ton of weight where it matters most, maybe close to 10lbs per wheel vs. a drag radial.

Racing season is now over. Getting a custom tune was an additional $2500CAD that I didn't have. I was going after the record with what I had. Next season things will change yet again.
