World's fastest ro-ro passenger vessel delivered to Swedish buyer in south China

The world's fastest roll-on/roll-off passenger vessel, "VISBORG," was delivered to its owner, Sweden's oldest passenger shipping company Rederi AB Gotland Group, on Saturday in Guangzhou City, capital of south China's Guangdong Province. With its appearance similar to that of a luxury cruise ship, VISBORG, built by the Guangzhou Shipyard International Company, is 200 meters long and over 25 meters wide. It can carry up to 1,730 passengers and has 10 decks with the upper five serving as accommodation and the rest as parking lots. VISBORG is able to sail at a speed in excess of 28.5 knots, while its cruising radius is 6,500 nautical miles with its holding power staying at 24 hours.

Excuse me but greek cruise ferries mainly these that operate to Crete and Italy, are way larger and faster, exceeding 31 knots regurarly and carrying buses, lorries, cars in the hundreds and over 2,500 passengers

Cerlainly not the fastest monohull ROPAX ship/ferry/ro-ro ship. Try Color line Superspeed 1 & 2, which are in traffic between Norway and Denmark.... and has done so since 2008. They have a top speed of 31 knots - in comparison to the ferry in this video (ms Visborg) with 28,5 knots. Superspeed are also a bit bigger ships. Isn't it a bit embarassing to come 10 - 11 years to late to the party and still claim a world record title....???
