This is insane. Someone just posted a video of a stock eRay doing it 0 to 60 and 2.1 seconds. Edmonds had it beating the McLaren 750 s for the first few hundred feet. This is officially a Supercar killer.

They never shut off; only decreases hp as the battery drains but it charges right back to 100% in less than 2 mins.

Nope. Those batteries are the problem. They are ticking time-bombs. They wear out after a certain time...especially in hybrids with their smaller and thus more highly-strained batteries and less efficient heating and cooling to protect those fragile things. Replacing them will never be cheap, and they'll always need to be replaced frequently. They'll always be too heavy to be a net gain for the car's performance. And they'll always be an ecological disaster.

Whats best about this application is the EV tech is used for Performance NOT Mileage. This is America we dont care about Mileage. We will keep our big stupid SUVs and Fullsize pickups and Hotrods. Performance cars will die unless moving to hybrid. Pure EV is nothing more than a damn appliance with range anxiety LOL!!

Umm without the EV tech in the Eray it would NOT be AWD Nor have the HP and Tq it does. Clearly the EV additon of AWD / Added HP and TQ makes it ALOT faster than the base C8 with ONLY the LT2 engine power. Weight clearly isnt a factor when the Eray is just as fast at a Z06 and AWD bite is a advantage.

Cool. Love to hear 0 to 60 and quarter miles times for this supercharged eray. Please clarify as I am interested to buy it for my eray convertible. I am deciding between twin turbo setup ( by boost district making almost 1000 hp with 0 to 60 in 2 secs and quarter mile time under 10 secs) and your supercharged setup for $35000. Let me know requested details so that I can decide.

Their C8 is the world's first Turbo'd E-Ray whereas this one is supercharged. We also collaborated on that project as well by doing the ECU calibration and tuning with Trifecta. The car was also built before this video was even released as it took some time to get this video edited into its final cut.

730HP is the total power - but to the wheels so your 900HP is probably accurate.

@@tylerolson5860 Kind of a tough comparison. The cars make different amounts of power. But RWD is lighter and nimbler than AWD. The "gripping" advantage of AWD on cars like these is negligible. The car is stupid wide with 345mm track tires on the back. They're two different cars for two different purposes, but there's no doubt that GM intended for the ZO6 to be the higher performing vehicle.

The only way this thing gets to use the extra hp from front wheels is if this thing doesnt raise them......just get the regular vette and add twin turbos and it'll be faster cause of no unsprung weight. The added and unnecessary electric motors add nothing to drag racing if your front wheels arent touching the ground!.....use some street logic. But it does make sense if you are racing around a rally or circle track.
