The whole celebrity hall pass thing is so strange if you think about it for a second. It’s like some people view celebrities as being non human, or more than human. As if you sleeping with a celebrity doesn’t count because they are not a “normal” person. I don’t know, the mentality behind it is just weird.
@carleesarna44509 ай бұрын
i totally agree but at the same time it’s devastating to hear about a partners “hall pass” bc you know that means (jokingly or not) they would, given the chance, sleep with someone else. that’s why me and my bf never joke like that bc it can just get so messy and i would never cheat on him with ANYONE
@takeyat88409 ай бұрын
Right? People are saying it only counts with A-list celebrities, as if that makes it any better? It’s insane they’d want to cheat on their partner with a stranger
@mamamua46449 ай бұрын
I think it’s supposed to be a silly thing and we choose celebrities not because they are above anybody but because they are very unnatainable and that’s what’s light hearted about the hall pass thing. You couldn’t joke about the hall pass thing and say it’s a coworker or a friend for example. So I don’t think it’s that celebrities are above people, rather- unattainable.
@xXnostalgicXx9 ай бұрын
@@mamamua4644 The unattainability is certainly part of it, but I also believe some people think it should be a legitimate exception because it’s a celebrity. My ex told me verbatim “I would totally fuck lil wayne if I had the chance, he’s so fucking sexy”, that’s pretty out of pocket if you ask me. Innocent celebrity crushes is one thing, but there are definitely those who are serious that they would sleep with them if they had the chance. I’ve never been a fan of idolatry or celebrity worship, it has a very negative effect on certain people’s self image and has contributed to the “anything for clout” type mentality.

It sounds like both the boyfriend and the cat's owner weren't being patient enough with them (probably also weren't properly paying attention to the cats needs). Ok not condoning what the guy did but you clearly have never dealt with a really really crazy cat. When I was a kid we had a cat that was just insane towards anyone but my mother, she would wait for me to come home from school and attack me if I went near her. Sometimes I would just be sitting there on the couch and she would just pounce at me and scratch the shit out of me. I fed her every day after school… didn’t change a thing. She would be nice for 5 minutes, then return to being psycho. We had her since she was a kitten and nothing bad ever happened to her, she just was crazy jealous and possessive of my mum. We had other cats since then, and I have two of my own now as an adult, and I can still say I kind of agree with getting rid of a cat that is not showing any signs of improving socially or is regularly physically hurting guests/friends. Obviously re-homing is ideal, but in a really dire situation I would consider a shelter.

If the cat is held for way too long where it’s damaging to their health and mental health, or they start attacking people, it’s likely that cat was still euthanized or moved to another shelter where again they could be euthanized. just to be clear people, the pee one is legitimate sexual assault. if you say you are uncomfortable with something related to sex and don’t want it to happen and your partner does it anyways, that is SA. if it’s related to actual penetration (digital, object, whatever) that is r***. during my first serious relationship, my partner did several things to me despite me telling him beforehand that I wasn’t comfortable with it and I didn’t realize till a while after that it was r*** so I just want yall to know, it is a big deal for that to happen and if you’ve dealt with that, I’m sorry. if you’re angry or traumatized, that’s justified.

About the hallpass thing. I always presumed it was a joke too but this is actually the reason I broke up with my ex gf. We were dating and sort of met in a fan community for a metal band. We were both fangirling for the members of it and she told me, before we even got together that she was friends with one of the members, who was way older than her. I thought that they were just that, friends. But a bit into our relationship they met at a fan meetup and, well, they hooked up. She told me about it all proudly and I was dumbfounded. We'd joked about different members of the group being our "free pass" before but I never took it seriously. We broke things off then but she proceeded to tell the news within the fandom further, until someone eventually leaked it. The musician was fired and, for a while, there were rumours his wife was about to leave him but they stayed together. Anyways, this is how my ex fucked our relationship and this man's career.

Story time from a retired pet groomer about “swapped animals” I started work managing a salon many years ago that had many issues and had basically a complete turn over of staff, prior to me beginning the job. I heard many horror stories about the shop from before my time and there’s one that sticks with me forever. An employee handed out the wrong dog (2 dogs, same name, kinda similar looking. This should not have happened as she could have read the info card and picked the right animal). It was the dog owner’s husband picking up and he didn’t even notice he was given the wrong dog. 20 minutes later, the first dog’s real owner shows up and the employee attempted to pass out the wrong dog again. The owner realized immediately it wasn’t her pet and rightfully became very distraught. They were able to get ahold of the person with the wrong pet, he brought it back and everyone received free grooms for the absolute freak outs that ensued over this situation. In over 10 years in the profession, that’s the only time I’ve ever heard of it happening, but I can’t imagine how freaked out the owners must have been. And they promptly fired that employee. But yeah, double check your pets at pick up, folks! 😅

Maybe I’m just stoned and thinking too hard about this but it’s so interesting how men talk about their penises. From a lesbian perspective, there’s no stigma around having a small tongue or short fingers or whatever. It’s understood that technique is the most important part of sex. Yet cis men tend to have tons of insecurities surrounding their penis. Like if your penis isn’t capable of making a woman have a million orgasms from penetration alone, it’s defective or embarrassing. Everyone has a different body, and everyone has different preferences. Most lesbians who use strapons don’t go for the ten inch monsters because, like the lady in the reddit post said, they take too much prep and recovery time. And some women can’t finish from penetration at all! Idk it’s just interesting how much emphasis is put on the size of your penis, which is completely out of your control. Is it a porn thing? Like does seeing huge penises in porn give men unrealistic expectations for their own bodies? If anyone sees this comment and has anything to add please reply I’m curious
@O7iver9 ай бұрын
Ok I rewatched that confession and the “a bit lacking” comment is definitely out of pocket lol. But there’s nothing wrong with having a small or average penis. Srsly
@dbhu20719 ай бұрын
Think of it as boob size or butt size for women, except you can’t get an operation for it. Boobs and butt don’t really do anything, but women still care about it enough to modify them. Plenty of men have fragile egos when it comes to that in a similar fashion. It’s pretty dumb to care about it, but young men, just like young women, are very impressionable and easily influenced by the media they consume and the people-and their opinions-they are surrounded by. So that creates problems when they compare themselves to what they see or hear, and they don’t quite measure up to it. Not to mention that penis size is also used as an insult by both men and women, so having a small one is just seen as inherently bad. I’m sure there’s plenty of other things that influence such perceptions by men, but I won’t get into that. It’s too much to really pinpoint a source, such a view is the result of many, many things across many, many years.
@O7iver9 ай бұрын
@@dbhu2071That makes sense! Irrational insecurity is kind of an unavoidable part of the human condition lol. The boobs and butt comparison doesn’t quite work for me though. Because those things are mostly aesthetic insecurities, feeling ashamed for not looking beautiful enough. Penis insecurity seems to be mostly about sexual function rather than how sexy or ugly their penis is. Which is maybe why having a small penis is viewed as bad or embarrassing more so than having small breasts for example. If a man says he prefers small breasts, that’s not seen as a weird thing for him to say. But if a woman says she prefers small penises, she’s assumed to be lying to make men with small penises feel better. Because having a small penis is seen as an objective failure to satisfy a woman in bed, rather than an aesthetic malady. And I guess I’m saying that having a small penis is objectively NOT the same as being unable to satisfy a woman in bed, which is what makes the insecurity irrational in the first place. Again sorry for going so crazy in depth on this subject I just find it interesting from the perspective of a person who is not attracted to men and does not care about penises at all
@kushj95689 ай бұрын
I don't think it's something just guys put up on a pedastle, it's something society as a whole, guys and girls, make fun of. Sure tit/ass size is also made fun of but not nearly as much. There's also the fact that you'd know when a friend of yours has small tits/ass but you don't when it comes to dick size. So, making fun of guys with small dicks comes with less weight/guilt to it than making fun of girls with small tits. Not to mention, tit/ass size doesn't really affect sexual performance much, whereas dick size can. Also plenty of guys actually prefer smaller tits, there's a whole petite section of p0rn just for it. You won't find a small dick section in p0rn unless it's making fun of its size. IMO when you've got an insecurity about something you can't change the best thing to do is accept what you've got and rock with it. I think it's easier/there's more pressure for girls to rock with what they've got since tit/ass size is harder to hide. As a guy tho the only time your size is visible is during sex so it's easier to just not address it and move on with your day. Idk, these are just some of my thoughts on this stuff. I think body positivity for dudes is something that should be talked about more but unfortunately rarely ever is
@dbhu20719 ай бұрын
@@O7iver I agree it’s not a good comparison, but it’s what first came to mind lol. Let me clarify a bit, I wasn’t trying to make it a 1:1 comparison, I was mainly using it to highlight that other’s opinions can have an effect on what we think of our own body in a way that you could relate. And that while women are able to modify those things as a form of “improving” them and making themselves feel better, men do not have such an escape when it comes to their views on their penis. So they will find other ways to cope with it. Usually self hate and insecurity, since it is something they can’t change. As I understand it, most women don’t care about size either, it’s mainly a bro on bro issue. Something that is perpetuated by men mostly. It is irrational, but most of the ones that suffer from this issue are men who haven’t had sex I would assume, so they have no way of knowing. Our sex ed culture and awareness is not really great so it’s easy for these kind of things to plague young men with no experience. I feel this probably ties into mental health and deeper issues with men as a whole when it comes to upbringing and the ideas and societal expectations that are placed on them. Such as “a real man doesn’t cry” etc. I’m not gonna get into that, but just gonna leave you with that as some food for thought. It’s always a good thing to try and learn and understand each other better. Have a good day!
