And what a nice man he was. I have him to thank for some of the most interesting moments of my life. My father taught his sons Josh, Jake and Trevor piano. My dad, like Victor, was a professional pianist in Los Angeles in the 60s and 70's. I was friends with Josh in junior high school...now middle school. LOL. Victor took me to a couple of studio sessions. One with Hal Blaine where he let Josh and I play his drums for probably 30 minutes. Hal was super cool. Also took me to a studio session with Harvey Mason on drums. Victor took my buddy to a Joni Mitchell rehearsal when the LA Express were backing her on tour. Amazing player and super nice man. Thank you, Victor!

Why do people post negative comments? If you don't like it move on. Where do they get off hurting people because they hate themselves? They do No public, social or educational service. Victor Feldman was one of the greatest musicians in the world as a percussionist, pianist and composer. We are all enhanced from him. Thanks Vic. RIP. Mike Hayes

They post negative comments because these are their views and they are entitled to - that's what free speech is all about. I can't believe that there aren't things in your life, musical or otherwise, that you dislike. Commenting about them publicly or not, is your entitlement. One just hopes that all comments are sensible and considered and not posted by nutters, but some will not be! C'est la vie!

Thanks for posting. You folks got to check out Victor Feldman's recordings in the UK '56-'57 - Avid Jazz budget label with the cream of the brit players then. Tubby Hayes, Ronnie Scott, Tony Crombie, Jimmy Deuchar, Phil Seamen etc. He always was adventurous and encouraged youngsters. Underrated.

The only musician who appeared on every Steely Dan album (apart from Fagen & Becker of course!) if i recall right.A genius of a musician and by far the greatest jazz musician to come from the UK.Check out his piano playing on 'Budo' on the ''Together Again'' album with Shelly Manne and Monty Budwig.Scarily good!!!

Vic Feldman - the greatest jazz musician to come out of Britain without a doubt, but the greatest vibe player? ....Not sure, it's a toss between him and Bags for me. I actually love Vic's piano playing more.

I like Victor Feldman as a vibraphonist, however, I would not say, " He is the greatest vibist in the world" over Lionel Hampton, Milt Jackson, and Bobby Hutcherson
