That gyratory may be rated at 3200t/hr, but those 2 loaders can't provide that. At 25 ton capacity, each has to make 64 dumps per hour. Each cycle has to be less than a minute. Although 992 is rated for only 21.5 ton, with material bucket, it can do 25 ton. So, why have a higher capacity crusher (more $$$) than you can feed
@stevenroth5424 Жыл бұрын
I'm glad someone did the math . I watched this thinking the loaders can not keep up with The Crusher.
@davidgibson8174 Жыл бұрын
We were taught to choke feed them crushers. Tht was far from it. Tht gyro was starving for rock, in my opinion. I appreciate the math on tht.
@drive_2_fast90 Жыл бұрын
From my experience with smaller crushers that is the efficient way to do it. Over loading a crusher is not good especially if you have to take time to unclog it but the material I'm use to is not nearly as clean as this..
@jonasstahl9826 Жыл бұрын
Hard to tell, maybe they usely process harder to process material and they use 3 loaders, but today one was out of service. The gyrator looks pretty old maybe it was a cheap used machine or they have slowed down there mining process. Could be alot of reason, why they operate this way.
@123brettie Жыл бұрын
@@davidgibson8174 Yeah David crushers work more efficiently of they are choked maybe move the crusher closer to the material will speed up the cycle times of the loaders also teach the operators how to load the bucket you need to lift the loader arms as you tilt the bucket puts weight on the front tyres stops wheel spin load heaps quicker and chocka full bucket

Its called "The world's largest Mobile crusher"...........So move it closer to the feed material. Then no need for two "slo-mo" loaders
@andrewpurcell725 Жыл бұрын
The largest self propelled crusher was actually in San Antonio Texas located at Martin Marietta’s beckman plant. It was an O&K It was propelled just like a walking dragline. It was feed by a fleet of 777 cat haul trucks. They would dump 2 at a time into the apron feeder.

At Fresh Kills Landfill. We used to have our own Rock Crusher Plant. We fed it with clean building debris, concrete, and bolders that contractors wanted to get rid of. It crushed the material and had a magnet to remove rebar and other ferrous debris. The 'shaker' had 3 conveyor belts. Dividing the crushed material into 3 sizes of material, large stone (5-7 inch), small stone (2-3 inch), and screening (sand). This machine could not ingest asphalt asphalt. (gums up the works) We used the material from the crusher to build access roads for the Payhaulers. Our wheel scrapers worked out of the Rock Crusher to deliver stone or screenings where needed. The Crusher was fed by 966 or Trojan 4500. Since it was a day only operation. We fed it 'only' 300 buckets a day. The rest of the time used for cleaning and maintenance. After the Dump was closed. The City still ran the Rock Crusher, But after a bearing spun, they sold it.

More like a gravel pit really…… and not surprising the DIY Vintage crusher gets through that loose soup really….. I’d rather see it how it gets on doing actual blasted rock 🤔 also loaders should have a little slope for tipping??

I was about to comment same thing. "Rock" size is 90% 0-100 mm and rest of it goes rough up to 300 mm... That is like nothing for machine size like that

As a retired operator that's worked with crushers, most of the material isn't even being crushed, it's already" fines".
@reefready9284 Жыл бұрын
Sounds more like a jaw than a gyro. Dubbed sound.
@jimsvideos7201 Жыл бұрын
The video quality from your drone is terrific, although I'd try using the slo-mo as an accent rather than so frequently. I'm curious about the value of screening out all the fines before sending it up the belt; that seems like a lot of energy wasted.
@Wolfiecolada Жыл бұрын
those fines probably build up real bad over time, especially wet. it's most likely an uptime thing, reduce maintenance by not having to digging it out.
