World's Longest Road Train - Part-4

In Part-4 of the World's Longest Roadtrain we see Doug's crew from the gold mining town of Kalgoorlie Western Australia hooking up the trailer combinations into groups of ten to forma real Outback Monster. In the meantime they've sent out a call to all their mates, throughout the Pilbara, Kimberley's and as far south as Esperance to bring as many trailers and dollies as they can spare. They turned up from far and wide in their Macks, Scanias, Volvos, Internationals, Freightliners, Mercedes and Western Stars to lend a hand and all the dump truck drivers and loader operators all pithced in as well hooking up hoses.

From Toronto Canada 2022. We still do not have anything like this type of trucking. And we have a lot of long haul trucking. With 5,500 + km from coast to coast you think it would be useful.

It's a constant thing ,checking, adjusting to keep brakes etc in top order ,remember most of this sort of gear runs double shifts, never get cold

I worked for Bridgestone Tyres and worked on his Trucks in the mid 90s. He had 3 trucks then Pracilla, Midas and can't remeber the other. Good bloke ol Doug no nonsense fella but looked after the boys. Awesome trucks too!!

Max koll , the water he is cleaning the trucks with is pumped 550 kilometers from Mundaring Weir Dam . The pipeline is called ' The Golden Pipeline ' on account it was going to the goldmines of Kalgoorlie . The had a grand opening and expected the water to splash out of their taps , it took the best part of 4 days to get there ! C Y O'CONNOR is the Irish engineer who designed and supervised construction .
