Surfed Chicama for a few days with just two friends from Trujillo back in early 90s. Fun wave. There weren't many accommodations back then... a very sketchy little "hotel' on the point. Long rides, tired arms and legs, big dunes! Thanks for the memories.

We arrived in chicama today and can't wait to get out on the waves tomorrow. Wild camping on the beach for a few days and will probably go to delfines after that as they allow campers behind the pool area. Super excited to be here!

I surfed Chicama in the 80's for two months vacation ,I stayed in The Hombre motel , who was an excellent person . Very Hot but never tire of Surfing all day . Enjoyed , as a Peruvian everyone is welcome to Peru.

Been to chicama three times and that was a bad excuse for why you need a boat. You can just walk back… and it is a very nice walk. Renting a boat is just being lazy and also easier to catch more waves… and that is fine. But please dont pretend walking back was not an option.
