The recent death of my grandmother changed the way I see life. We seem to take it for granted. But it is not. To see someone die with your own eyes, for real, not through a screen or any story of any form is the most life changing, heartmoving and sad experience ever. She was there and now she's not. She used to talk, now she doesn't. Her heart used to beat, now it is stopped. Her eyes used to be open and full of life, now they are closed and emotionless. Forever. I personally do not know how does the brain keeps the heart beating, the nose and lungs breathing, the eyes open and the consciousness... there. But I do know that it can stop in the most dramatic way, leaving you speechless. Now, I regret the time I did not spend with her, and miss every instant that I spent with her. All I keep with me are sadness and lovely memories. Cherish your own life, and do the maximum you can to have loads of fun during it. It doesn't matter which situation you're in. Every little moment of joy with yourself or a loved one is the most precious thing in the world, and nobody can take it away from you. You might have had a pretty rough day at work, or maybe the dog pissed all over the carpet. Whatever it is, remember that there will always be good moments coming in the future. Being happy is the ultimate goal for a human being. Whether it is for a second or a lifetime, happiness will always be the ultimate thing to reach for. You only have one life to live, do the most you can in it. 18 years of age, and my life changed forever as I lost my dear grandmom. It's like my eyes were opened. I now know what they mean by saying "life hangs only by a thread". Have a good day. Just wrote this while listening this lovely music and thinking, crying, typing, loving, missing, just doing everything right now to go through these tough times. Love from Quebec, Canada.

My mom just died before my eyes too. I know how you feel one minute you can talk to her but not the next and never again. Sad for your loss too. I'm taking it day by day. I miss her. I can only look forward to seeing her again in the after life. May God comfort all those who have lost a loved one.
