The aerial footage is actually of the I-90 floating bridges, the Lacey V. Murrow Memorial Bridge and the Homer M. Hadley Memorial Bridge. I realize that people out-of-town could get confused about the fact Seattle has not 1 but 3 such bridges, but come on, these guys are documentarians....

The Lacy V. Murrow Bridge sank because workers left the DOORS TO THE PONTOONS OPEN!!! so, they took on water during the high waves of the storm. Sheesh - you should have included that very basic detail. Only workers cars were on the bridge, and no one was injured.

What they don’t mention about the i90 bridge that sank was the bridge was not in use. They had already built a new bridge and the old one was under renovation. The workers accidentally left some access ports open that should have been closed. That’s how the rain got in and sank the bridge.
