There's a mistake in the maths: if the world population is halved every time he clicks his fingers, each click multiplies the world population by 1/2=2^(-1). Therefore, the multiplication factor is 7.8*10^(9)*2^(-296)=6.1*10^(-80) = 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000061 humans left to 2 s.f. But then, it is 1/2 of the Universe's popoulation and not just humans - no one said that the Infinity Gauntlet had a uniform distribution among all species. I just spent 5 min typing in 79 0s, I really hope I counted them correctly.

You can hear yourself in quiet areas like home alone, but in noisy areas, which is the majority, you can use this singer trick by putting finger in/near ear, because our body, finger, is a better sound conductor than air. I can't imagine that high note vocal record is healthy. I feel like there's a reason everyone else in the world can't or doesn't put that much stress on their chords.
@olgahein43844 жыл бұрын
It isn't really. That's why those who can do it, don't do it often. It's as unhealthy for vocal cords as growling (heavy metal) or throat singing. With a good technique, you can minimize the damage, but still shouldn't do it too often. Btw, there are many singers that can do it. It just doesn't sound good, so they don't. Dimash Kudaibergen still likes to show off now and then and adds some random D8 whistles for 5 (ish) seconds to his songs, but rarely.

Honestly, coming from a percussion background, seeing how fast someone can play an instrument has some value. It's an interesting thing that has competition behind it. The only catch is that is shouldn't be presented as a "musical" thing. Because it's more of a tactile competition that's loosely related to the ability to play the instrument well. In my opinion, it's only interesting on percussion instruments though. And maybe wind instruments.

@@intarc0giotto That means either you were singing solo and have really good pitch control, which requires training not all singers have had, or you were singing with a group of people who were also singing in tune, which definitely does not always happen in group singing. Covering/cupping one ear is a technique sometimes used by professional singers when learning a song, or if they become unsure because they can't hear themselves in a group, or if they're performing in a venue with loud speakers and their mic feedback stops working so they can't hear themselves anymore. Have you noticed how once in a while singers performing on stage randomly put their hand to their ear right in the middle of a song? They aren't listening to instructions from someone offstage, or maybe that happens sometimes but other times they're trying to hear themselves/indicating to the sound crew that their isolated audio stopped working. On the fastest piano key hit. 700 is very slow. Find a "Taps per minutes" tool (are even websites) and most drummers should be able to smash up to 800+. The mechanical action on a piano slows you down. Anyone who plays piano knows this. if you press a key too fast, the piano just registers it as one note. The piano is artifically limitting you because the latency between the parts doesn't allow you to go too fast. This record is basically the pianos stat. "Key stroke limit" are not worth a world record, unless the record is "Closest to keyboard stroke limit". A very cheap keyboard with very little action should be able to do this faster. And you can do it with moo sound or something.
