I bought ROG 5, 2 years back after using it two years it motherboard got busted ....moral of the story...always go for those brands who actually knows how to make phones that can sustain much longer....besides its specs, you only get 2 years of OS updates plus there are no to little customer service....In my opinion go for Iphone or Samsung flagships..

If cam is avg for rog 8then rog 6 is more than enough with 8gen 1 and cam lens imx766(using cam😁). Present its price is 48k with card another 1500off. I think its best offer. I grabbed that opportunity. 8 gen 1 is more more than enough. I think asus should relaunch 6 series by improved cam and they can increase its price 10 - 15k. Then no other premium phone can beat it.

I would rather take Redmagic 9 Pro than this ROG Pone 8 pro. TBH , I hate this phone for many reasons - 1. Paying >1 lakhs but still punch hole , gaming phones need full screen so under display camera like Redmagic is much more appreciated and the dame variant of Redmagic is less costly also 2. Smaller battery than predecessor. Redmagic 9 Pro has 6500 mAh whereas the Redmagic 8 pro had 6000 mAh but in ROG Phone battery size reduces to 5500 mAh from 6000 mAh which is really useless. A successor should succeed in every prospect if not at least retain all the features from predecessor but ROG is not doing well at all 3. Charging speed is 65W the same from prehistoric ages , at least 100W was necessary 4. Camera bump is absolutely ugly , I would rather prefer the camera bump of ROG Phone 7 Ultimate , that was much better looking. 5. No extra display in te back. IN ROG Phone 7 series the matrix display was in normal version is Ultimate had a display in the back but the ROG Phone 8 Pro is going downhill. 6. Display size is same from many generations now , At least increase the display by a little bit just to give a peace in heart , Oneplus 12 gives 6.82" whereas 11 has 6.7". ROG is really not doing well 7. No 2K display even after paying >1 lakh, really a letdown 8. The cooler has 2 buttons but the predecessor cooler has 4 buttons ,ROG is now ex pert in diminishing features. 9. The ROG Phone 5 Pro & Ultimate has 4 triggers but this one is 3 generations ahead but only has 2 triggers and combine it with the triggers in triggers to make it only 4 , whereas in the predecessor you have at total 6 triggers 10. No second chip for enhanced gaming , which was really compulsory given the price 11. Redmagic gives an inter cooling fan but ROG Phone 8 Pro doesn't even give te Aero portal which was there in ROG Phone 7 Ultimate 12. No white colour variant as the predecessors used. So yeah , in my opinion ROG Phone 8 Pro is the flop gaming Phone of 2024.

Punch hole display really does not suit a gaming phones. Either it should be bezels or full screen display with UDC. Plus the display size in ROG is same for ages. They should at least make it 6.98" now. Black Shark even used a 7.1 " panel in Black Shark 3 Pro. And in ROG it is E6 Amoled whereas E7 is already released. And also no extra gaming chip. Even IQOO used gaming chip in their phones despite not being out and out gaming phone. ROG should really learn from other brands what a true gaming phones should contain compulsorily. Absolutely agree with you bro 👍
