I used to play a lot of pong. Definitely a ton of fun. My friend doesn't play or care for any sports, but I asked him if he wanted to play pong one day, he did, just to waste time really, and as we played (just me hitting it easily to him so we could rally) he started enjoying it. We played more, and I helped him with advice, techniques. Before long he loved playing it and could hit a decent ball. I love pretty much all racquet sports (Tennis is my first love and favorite), but if I had to choose one that I thought would be the easiest to get into and have fun with, it would be pong. You don't have to be in amazing shape, it doesn't wear you out quickly (though it's actually surprisingly good for cardio) and it doesn't take long to be able to learn to hit back and forth, it's probably the easiest to improve on quickly. I highly recommend giving it a try some day to see if you enjoy it

In high school, my science teacher had a ping pong table in his room, and during lunch a bunch of people would always gather in the room to play. I never got the hang of trick serves, but various other kids in the class, and the science teacher himself, managed to master those serves where the ball changes direction after bouncing on your side of the table. Instead of that, I just mastered serving the ball as low to the net, and as fast, as possible; so often, when I was serving, the returning shot would just spike it directly into the net.
