People on the islands had running water in their homes as early as in the 1960s. I like the green and black caterpillars.

Were there any kids on your hike? My husband and I are wondering if our 13, 11, 9 year old (who enjoy hiking) can handle it..

There were no kids but the hike was pretty easy!! Enjoy your trip :)

The river no longer runs because the water is now channeled into households but once there is heavy rainfall it will run. That’s why you saw the pipe on the trail. Running water has been in homes way over 20-30 years.

What did you guys do for the bug situation? Bug spray or was it alright without it?

There wasn't too many bugs but we did put some bug spray on and didn't get any bites :)
