I am surprised to see a place like Hötorgshallen to pass something like this off as Toast Skagen. Come to me and I will do a better one for you. This is supposed to be the flag ship starter in Sweden. Fried baltic herring (Strömming) is eadable but not great in my view. The best way to eat that fish is smoked as kippers. The dry bread (knäckebröd) is normally made from barley. So I often think of beer as liquid bread. You will find knäckebröd in every Swedish home (almost). It will keep for a verry long time. Traditionally it was made in round cakes with a hole in the middle. The cakes were then put on a pole and then the pole was hung from hooks in the kitchen sealing. That would keep it dry and away from rats and mice. In that way it would keep for a long time. I may be a bit different from most swedish people as I would never consider eating raw animals. That includes gravad lax (cured salmon), pickled herring and most definetely surströmming (raw salted herring which has gone off). I also do not care for snaps. Shots of traditional grain alcohol or vodka. It is not terrible like wiskey. Just a bit strong. But it does not give me anything so why drink it? I also do not drink coffey even though the swedes are in general the second heaviest coffey drinkers in the wforl after the finns. I also think that snow and ice should be completely forbidden. At least all of the above made my english customers ask if I am really swedish.😃 I once met up with a swedish college in Manilla. He lived there with he's Philippina wife. All three of us went out for dinner. She then said something which made me and my college laugh. She said that the only swedish food she liked was kebab and pizza. We explained to her that those things are not swedish food at all. She was quite surprised and said that you see that everywhere in Sweden. That is true. But it is due to the massive immigration to Sweden. It is not traditional swedish food. When I was a kid itr did not exist in Sweden.

So many other cities in europe that actually appreciate tourists.Sweden is a no go destination.Already at airport they work for bankmaffia and do not take real cash.Then they rob u with wordls most expensive 20min ride airport train.And it continues in city.So many places not possible to buy anything. Better travel to other countries.
