Congratulations. I'm approaching 69, am in good health and "do not" want to retire. I do want to quit what I'm presently doing but cannot envision sitting around for the next however many years being retired. You're an inspiration for me. Let's go for 100.

Coomes Inc. Class Act. Related to the family and drove for em a couple different times . Should have just stayed , but had to take care of some things and kinda bounced around after that with different jobs till I got my own and then back issues and hardware stopped all that. But I ran with Doyle and ran into him a few times over the years , great guy still taking care of business. Congrats Sir , amazing how time goes by just doing what you love to do. I know it took some doings to get all together and Rick and the crew will take care of their own.

Gotta keep moving and stay busy. Good for the body and mind. Guy in my town is 93 and still passes his medical every year. He’s got an airstrip and hangar next to his house takes his helicopter up for a spin all the time.

90 years old and still driving. I'm 61, been driving nearly 40 years and looking forward to retirement or partial retirement within 10 years. I really don't want to be driving a truck for another 29 years. Mostly because of how bad other drivers have become.
@fuzzybutkus8970Ай бұрын
Congrat,90 and sprinting around. I was 49 and got retired by a bad heart. Go in have pacer/defib installed within a week of finding out and with meds back almost to normal. When Doc told me I couldn’t drive again I asked him why.He said have we have to worry about “what ifs.”Well there’s a gazillion” what ifs” any rookie will have over at driver with my experience.

Did you actually need the icd or just a pace maker. These days almost everyone receives an icd even though they only need a pace maker. My sister went into sudden cardiac arrest when she was 17 during a water polo match and after a month of crashing every other day in the hospital she received an icd and for 5 years after the first 90 days of having it she was never once shocked and didn't actually need it and had it removed. Doctors immedietly jump to icd placement and it's not always needed and a regular pace maker would be fine.

I'm rurning 75 in a few days, and have no plans as yet to quit running my 30 ton crane, which i drive about 10,000 miles a year, besides operating it. Most everyone I know is retired, and I get asked more and more when i will, I just say I am retired, the crane work is just a hobby!

My hats off to this driver. Well If I was to wear a hat that is. I used to want to be driving my own semi when I turned 97 but the things are now in the transportation industry I want no part of it any more. I will however Always have Respect for the real drivers that are still left out there on the road

I hate to burst the bubble but in the mid 1990s there was a trucking magazine that had several drivers over 90 years old in it along with some that were in their 80s
