can't get over how big the lads are, I still remember watching Shahlaei towering over everyone else 10 years ago, now he's the "normal sized" dude interviewing. Shahlaei was and is a great treasure for Strongman world
@trzaskubejbe11 ай бұрын
Shahlei is only 188cm. Not that tall for a strongman, even 10 years ago. Actually in 2013 both Thor and Brian Shaw competed, and both were taller than all of the guys here.

Fantastic! My only suggestion would be that perhaps there should be a point for the fastest/best woman in each round and a point for the fastest/best man in each round rather than just one point for the best/fast person. Makes everything count even more that way.

So does Eddie contribute in anyway apart from head cheerleader?
@elliottengstrand598811 ай бұрын
Yeah it is quite odd that Eddie didn't do anything. Tom should have been team captain and they could have included anyone else on the GB team. You'd think they would implement a rule that says (barring injury) every athlete MUST compete in at least two events or something. Force the teams to be careful who they use for each event. Rather than just having Evan carry team USA.

I agree, I don't think the acting is needed in strongman. It doesn't add anything to it, at least for me it doesn't.
@elliottengstrand598811 ай бұрын
Agreed. The camaraderie and mutual respect is part of what drew me to strongman in the first place when I've never cared much for professional sports otherwise. I hate the team mentality and blind devotion to one group. Strongman is amazing because I want everyone to win. But as an American I find Evan a bit embarrassing. At least he's actually quite good, so it's not empty trash talking, but I'd respect him more and root for him if he cut that out.

I get booing at Singleton during the interview because he was being an arrogant prick even though he was playing a role, but their actions prior to the interview, the audience are a bunch of sore losers. They didn't even cheer when Faires absolutely destroyed that event, just a few seconds shy of 2 minutes and nothing from that audience. Just poor sportsmanship, sad to see them devolve and cry. These events are supposed to be fun, not tantrum fests for the loser audience. Shame. Great show despite the babies in the audience.
