I am so fascinated and enthusiastic about these women and their performance, since I look like a match on 2 legs from the stature I can't even imagine you have enormous strength. I wish all women continued success.

That standing press event needs to be revised. When 0 athletes complete all 4, not very exciting and hardly anything separates the contestants except a few seconds on when they completed the one arm press.

Rebecca Roberts and Lucy Underdown need to be in WWE. they are ginormous.

Impressive but they got the weights wrong in the overhead event, not enough successes. Not sure how big an audience there is for strong women, could it stand on its own ?

Not a single person got to really attempt the 4th part of the medley…. These weight choices are just really poorly done. I love everything else about the event.

That commentator should quit using KGs, this is a American show. Gabe Pena has to constantly convert what shes saying to lbs.

It’s an international show, the rest of the world is watching and they use KGs

@@OfficialStrongmancom Again, Gabe Pena wouldn't constantly be converting her if there wasn't a problem. Big Loz has commentated at like 50 American shows and does a good job using KGs and lbs.

@@OfficialStrongmancom thank you, I for one have no idea what anything weighs in pounds! Yanks should convert to the metric system already!!

Rebecca is proof that men are genetically a lot stronger. Shes 6'3" and 300 lbs, the size of an average strongman. Her best deadlift is 620 lbs. Arild Haugen was 6'2" and 300 lbs and could deadlift 880 lbs. Her deadlift is very good by the way. The average woman can deadlift like 125 lbs.

Imagine if every time a football player tackled the snot outta some dude, a jackass reminded the audience that MMA fighters hit harder and take more abuse. Or at the end of a marathon, a jackass yelled that sprinters are faster. Free divers hold their breath longer than high divers. Why the comparison? Women aren't "small men". We're altogether different. We're running a different race so to speak and pointing out male athletes could do it better is kinda like telling your mom she's overweight. Accurate but mean and utterly pointless.

@@PumkpinSpiceAvery If I said women live longer(which is true in literally every country), no one would say anything. If I said men are a lot stronger, they leave comments like yours.
@PumkpinSpiceAvery9 ай бұрын
Yes . . . Context matters. One of these things is a random fact while the other is intentionally being brought up to insult people. They're going to be received differently. Why is that confusing? For example, if I wanted to get into weightlifting I would follow advice specifically for women, to cater to my biology. Women should, in fact, train differently. And I don't mean lighter weights. Both sexes should lift according to their individual strength. I mean, women have shorter recovery times, they can have pelvic floor mishaps while deadlifting, they need more iron and calcium so they eat differently, etc. And if I were building a training regime, all of that would be relevant and not insulting. But if I won world's strongest woman, the last thing on the planet that I would want to hear is how I'm still not as strong as man. Because you're basically saying that a woman can be the very best competitor in her sport, achieve exactly what she set out to do after years of agonizing training and dedication, and it means diddly squat. Cause no woman can ever just be an athlete dominating the game. We must ALWAYS remember that if she were playing a different game, she wouldn't be winning.
@Vampire__Squid9 ай бұрын
@@PumkpinSpiceAvery Rebecca knows this is the case, shes literally watched Evan Singleton deadlift a 1000 lbs at the Deadlift World Championships and knows its impossible for women to do that. Shes happy with her own accomplishments. You do know theres only been like 50 600 lb deadlifts done by women and she is one of them. These strongwomen aren't as sensitive as you think. You remember Lucy being insanely excited about being the first woman to deadlift 700 lbs even though she knows thats been done by men over 150,000 times.
