No way... The Avon looks sooo much better!! The "regular" wand didn't even cover all your lashes. The Avon side looks all smokey and sexy. You're just too used to the "normal" mascara. I'm impressed with the Avon mascara.

One thing I will say about the Avon Mascara is that it coated the very top lashes more thoroughly. Like when jefree looked down and you could see the back of his top lashes, the Avon side definately deposited more product on that side than the benefit did.

What a blast from the past! I sold Avon for a year, and when the promotional material for this mascara came out, us representatives were super excited. I was skeptical at first because I was used to standard straight-out-of-tube mascaras, but when I realized angling the brush different ways could change how my lashes looked, I was hooked. I have used other more conventional mascaras since, but this was such a nostalgic video for me to watch. I'm glad it was approved :D

Back in the day when mascara came in packaging that looked like a box of matches, you had to dampen the tiny brush and scrub that thing into the product to distribute the formula on the bristles as if you're watercolor painting. I've seen my Aunt open hers and use spit... but only once because pink eye is a good teacher. Avon, Mary Kay and Jafra were such a part of the Beauty Culture back then. We lived for that ringing doorbell but it was usually everyone's Aunt who pushed those lippies like a crack dealer. The packaging was always amazing. Oh also John Maclean swears by a tiny MAC brush of this design to make his bottom lashes flawless and flake free.

Objectively, Avon was a lot better. It stayed true to what it was selling which was bold, voluminous and thick lashes and the brush itself coated every lash from root to tip. It even made it look like you had liner on. The benefit side looked like your average brand of mascara and if you would go on the street and have people do a blind survey they would think the Avon side were the more high-end lashes and the other was a cheap brand. Avon is an overall solid brand that has been around for a long time and should definitely get a little bit more respect. Lol.

It says don’t add salvia because in the olden days mascara used to come in the form of a rectangle box, it would be a solid block and you would have to wet a brush, rub the brush against the block and paint it on. A lot of girls would spit on their brush as they were too lazy to wet their brush.

Fátima ArMarques I used to use the Avon that was like this. I used either avocado or coconut oil on mine. But mostly avocado because I have long lashes and coconut oil tends to make them grow more.

I think the Avon side was more fuller and easier to apply and looked like it had more pigment not saying that the Benifit one is bad because I use it but I’m saying that I think that the Avon one was better than the benifit
