I watched this whole tournament but it was really killing me to watch the way they were playing with 12 players left they just lit their stacks on fire with really bad hands I understand mixing it up and playing aggressive but make the final 9 first then if you want to blast off it is what it is but pay jumps are huge the difference between 8th and even 2nd or 3rd is craz

Yeah this and the 2015 ME final table are probably the most forgotten about. McKeehan dominated the 2015 ME, and as you said Heinz isnt known as well as he left on an evil game.

Staszko really missed played that A full of 9s hand with that check raise on the turn. With Pius's aggressive play, he might have been able to end it there-or at least pick up a few more million for sure. Oh...as far as Staszko being 35...those Eastern Europeans live HARD!

Black Friday when Full Tilt collapsed and they found out they were using illegal payout services worldwide. It was when online poker was made illegal in the USA, so the ads were banned. It's also when the bans happened in Australia, and it's screwed poke here for years, and sent the problem gamblers to black market sites that didn't always payout. But don't get me started on the constant failures of forced prohibitions. I work with people with addiction issues and...Like I said, don't get me started.

wow, staszko did not know how to play heads up with the chip lead. i honestly thought that heinz had the lead for the longest time until that all in that swapped stacks. did not apply any pressure and let heinz just bully him around despite having a shorter stack.

Kind of? Although more because he unfortunately passed away. Joe was clearly the better player overall and in recent poker Joe has proven himself pretty well skill wise and in tournaments.

I grew up watching these ESPN main event coverages. I could tell you 03-16 winner but rewatching this one I genuinely didn’t know who won. It was fun to watch this for the first time I guess haha. Thought I saw them all but I was mistaken. I was so sure Lamb was gonna win.
