World Trigger Weapon Set Breakdown Part Two: Azuma & Nasu Squad

Continuing in part two of the trigger set breakdown series, we come to Azuma & Nasu squad. Today we look at their capabilities and potential for the future as both teams are undergoing major developments. As always, thank you for watching!

Azuma is GOAT he was the former #1 sniper and captain of a former A rank team that included Ninoyima, Kako and Miwa; all of whom are their squad captains. He also lead an improvised squad during the 2nd invartion from Aftokrator and took down Ranbanein. And Lasty, he one-shotted our boy Osamu with and imposible at great distance and through walls only by amming through the radar. That moment was shocking but It felt organic and not just a plot device to take out mikumo and make them lose in order for T2 to Grow. Just and amazing guy, a Giga-chad, and one of my favorites border agents.

Oh, yeah, one other thing. I didn't realize this was confirmed until a few minutes ago, but Nasu is apparently infirm. Her Trion body actually is a healthier version of her normal body - if you watch, every scene with her that's not got her in the battle form actually has her sitting down, and bundled up. Viza also was much more affected by age outside of his combat form - bent forward, and bundled up. It's an interesting aspect that Ashihara could explore - the injured, the ill, the old, all of 'em could wind up temporarily overcoming their ailment by using a Trigger - possibly to an addictive effect. Random thought.

Azuma is clearly B-rank because he wants to guide the younger generations of border. To me at seems like his biggest focus is on instilling macro knowledge of the battlefield - how opponents will move based on their abilities and temperament, and how to use and shape that advantageously. Limiting his attacker to melee fighting facilitates that goal, so they focus more on teamwork and situational knowledge than complex individual techniques that might lead them to try too hard to be powerful 1v1. But it seems clear that he is treating his squad as a training course to eventually make competent and well rounded fighters than a team aiming for the top spot. It actually makes him scarier. He has no ego, and will eventually build a powerful force of disciples over time.

Yea I think Azuma is definitely training new leaders and various ones at that. When you look at how many transformations Azuma squad has gone through from the beginning till now, Azuma knows quite a bit of things and what it takes to raise good agents

I did not even realize Izuho was a candidate to fill those shoes but that makes perfect sense and i would love to see the team! She's a great side character - and watching her grow and be effective really highlights the positive ways border is set up for the "normal" characters.

I wish that the dummy beacons got more usage. I feel like Osamu could use them pretty well as long as the trion usuage isn't too high.

We know that in round 8, Okudera and Koarai managed to catch everyone off guard because they had equipped some new triggers (not confirmed what but I'm gonna guess it was either hound, asteroid, or both?) via Ouji and Kurauchi telling us before Tamakoma's round 8 match. We also know they won it with 4 points but 2 were survival points and the other squads in that round got 3 points each so it can be assumed that everyone except for Azuma bailed out in that round so while the element of surprise helped, they'll have to do a lot more training with their new subtriggers for it to be effective the next time.

Not much to say here... Those two teams are just solid. With Izuho coming in there might be some slight alterations. I see her as a straightforward person, so setting down Meteors feels far away, but who knows~ Maybe she will become a rival to Chika, in her own way. Curious about a potential sniper set for her... As for Azuma squad, the two attackers might have their sets differing as the time goes on. Eventually they'll see what they prefer (maybe senku or more bullets), time will tell~

Awesome vid sensei. Looking forward to seeing the A rank teams trigger sets here. I'm soo curious how the trapper and double rayghast attacker trigger sets are used in play but I maybe have to wait till I'm 50 yrs old or until Ashihara gets trion body of his own XD.

I’ll do my absolute best for ALL A-Ranks :). I feel the trapper sets will hopefully make it debut in a climax arc. Gotta lay all the cards on the table at that point right 🤷🏾‍♂️
