Being very familiar with most of the Caribbean islands this is one of the few places where I would fly GA to try and find places I have visited. Having watched a couple of other videos it appears most of the area has just been hit by a hurricane with a lot of blurry 2D boats sat under the water in the harbours. It’s an improvement but my payware Caribbean airports will remain in the Community folder if only to wave back to the people on Maho beach at St.Martin 😀

I for one am disappointed by how the Bahamas are looking. No buildings, just bushes, grass. Landed at some of the airports and there is nothing there. Unless I did something wrong (always possible)

I personally would rather see this blending of processes that give a pretty decent appearance overall. I have a high end PC with fast broadband but am usually let down by the Microsoft’s servers when over photogramic areas by being told that my internet connection is too slow even though know that it’s not. It’s particularly annoying on final approach when the notice pops up right in front of the screen for a few seconds, then appears a few seconds later to tell me I’m reconnected.

I don't see the point of dropping 1 or 2 handcrafted POI in a barren generic wasteland. Willemstad (Curacao) has become even more painful to watch, with the handcrafted Handelskade and Emmabridge. They could at least have used a generic database for typical Carib. architecture.

Performance aside, I actually find the photogrammetry a little bit disturbing... when flying low, it almost feels like the cities are in a state of dystopian decay.

I like the photogrammetry cities somehow it is more immersive and makes you feel like you're really there especially places youve actually seen before. With the generic models they just feel random but I guess the photogrammetry data doesn't exist yet for a lot of these places. I wish the tech existed that made the photogrammetry actually better looking, maybe polishing them with AI or something. Or something that made the generic models look more real.

I think they need to change the autogen buildings in many areas for fs2020. For example many of the buildings, especially in the canary islands are coloured white, however in the sim they look completely different. Also, the buildings are way too tall compared to what they should be.

Seems a nice update. Still getting some white patches on islands in the BVI. I have a couple great payware airports like St Martin and Sangster, what should we do about that?

Is it the last update for 2020? The roadmap has ended and there is a welcome message of 2024 instead of the release notes

Honestly, I would have been more pleased with greek Islands, more than the actual caribean, because europe isn’t complete yet and I’m still missing this beautiful place where so many of us already have been

In my opinion--just by connecting the dots, Microsoft will likely be utilizing the Unreal 5 game engine in their 2024 version and that alone would make the current updates of the 2020 version obsolete.

One of the most beautiful places you can fly into and Asobo decide to give us this half assed garbage. I swear sometimes I really think Asobo have hit their limits of what they can do with this sim. Everybody is hyping MS24, but I’m really doubting the hype. I think it’s going to be just how MS2020 first started.

They are bringing this shite out and yet Seoul Incheon airport in South Korea is only half there, and has been since 2020!
