WORLD VISION ZIMBABWE- ENHANCING DISASTER PREPAREDNESS IN VULNERABLE FLOOD DISTRICTS IN ZIMBABWE

In Zimbabwe, Mbire and Muzarabani districts represent the extremes of proneness to natural hazards induced by climate change, chief among them floods and drought. In 2016-2017, the effects of the El Nino ravaged communities in these adjacent districts, and both were poorly equipped to handle them. Disaster Preparedness has largely gone unaddressed as organizations battle to respond to active emergencies.
