In certain parts of the video, there are a few minor graphical errors regarding the flags. This is due to the fact that the video had over 1,000 (~1,700) layers, which caused Adobe After Effects to completely glitch out, making it impossible for me to fix a few of the graphical errors with the flags. This is also the main reason as to why this video took several months to complete, as the After Effects glitches made production extremely slow. But, after reconsidering giving up on this video, I decided to power through it and it's now complete, so I hope you all enjoyed. This is also one of the reasons the video is sponsored, because, despite getting millions of views every month, KZbin pays a bafflingly low amount of money per thousand views (I get about 5 hundredths of a penny per view), as I have a very international audience, which is not appealing to many advertisers. This means I cannot financially sustain myself off this channel alone, and a project like this would simply not be worth it from a financial standpoint as I have bills to pay and people to take care of, which is why this video really was made possible by Bytro Labs, but not the main reason as to why it was sponsored by them, because, like I mentioned in the video, I really do only select sponsors that I believe would be relevant to my audience and that I genuinely have a positive opinion on, and if it was 99% of other companies I would not have taken them as a sponsor.

Germany: creates a plan to invade france 10 years in advance. Britain: strategically plans for an offensive but losses 57000 men the first day. @@mr.benlivephan6473 In 1919, after the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, Ferdinand Foch is reported to have said "This is not a peace, it is an armistice for twenty years". However, contrary to popular misconception, Foch didn't think that the treaty was too harsh, but that it was too lenient to where he considered it a capitulation. Foch wanted terms that were harsh enough to prevent Germany from being able to wage another major war, and in particular wanted to occupy the Rhineland in Western Germany. This would not only be a buffer zone to protect France and Belgium, but because it was the bulk of Germany's industrial base occupying it would let them prevent German remilitarization. There is one issue though, which is that the earliest source for this quote was written by Winston Churchill in 1948. We know that Foch didn't like the treaty and that he was concerned with renewed German militarism, but we don't know if he actually made that prediction. It's possible that he only expressed a general concern and through either the telephone game or someone wanting to make the story more dramatic, the general concern was written down as a more specific prediction after the fact.

It's actually insane how well the western front held. At some point the Germans were just a few miles away from Paris. They were real close to getting the upper hand when the Russians bailed out, but America jumped in with their fresh soldiers. It honestly makes me think of how terrifying it must have been when France fell so quickly in WW2.

It was shocking, sickening, to see the decline in numbers at the front, as the dead piled up. From 3,000,000 on each side on the Western Front in June 1916 to literally half that, 1,500,000 on each side in June 1918 -- even with the arrival of the American Expeditionary Force. The great European nations were indeed running out of men.

the division at 10:11 The Czechoslovak Legion (Czech: Československé legie; Slovak: Československé légie) were volunteer armed forces comprised predominantly of Czechs and Slovaks[1] fighting on the side of the Entente powers during World War I and the White Army during the Russian Civil War until November 1919. Their goal was to win the support of the Allied Powers for the independence of Lands of the Bohemian Crown from the Austrian Empire and of Slovak territories from the Kingdom of Hungary, which were then part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. With the help of émigré intellectuals and politicians such as the Czech Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk and the Slovak Milan Rastislav Štefánik, they grew into a force over 100,000 strong.

Russian Army units did not withdraw from Finland in November 1917 like depicted in this video. They stayed in the country until the spring of 1918, assisting the Lenin-sponsored socialist rebellion against the lawful Finnish government. During this time Lenin sent *more* Russian units into the country. They pulled out only in March-May 1918.

The epic transition of music at the end of 1917, when the communists came to power with Lenin's words "Tovarischi, rabochie i krestyane...", and the Eastern Front ceased to exist with the signing of the Peace of Bretsk on March 3, 1918.

@@goldiefox7128If it was, Germany never made to have a defensive pact with Austria-Hungary meaning its Austria-Hungary's own problem to the war anyways. Well the same events would happen by then in 1914 but no Allies of Austria-Hungary anyways. It will still attack Serbia, but for Russia theres just no way for Austria-Hungary they will attack a big country. In Summary It wont be a World War anyways, just your typical Austro-Hungarian Serbian War. And Germany in the 19th century dont even have a defensive pact to Austria-Hungary as well.
