7:50 that area is really cozy and for a reason! The staff host their xmas parties their and I was lucky enough to attend one. Lots of people, free food (and good food, local catering) access to hot tubs and free waveboarding :)

I'm not overly sad about the Corkscrew being gone, it was always better with a tube anyway. Double Trouble is interesting, because it's fast with a double tube, but a bit more mellow with a single.

Yes I remember the green tube tunnels had some serious problem back then and the reason why they upgraded. There was an accident about this woman who was sliding in the Double trouble classic green, and her wedding ring some how and some way got caught inside the slide. And lost her ring and her finger at the exact same time. They had to shut it down and do some maintenance ever since that happened. The good news, they found her finger and her ring, and manage to get it back on her at the near by Hospital before it was too late.

I was really disappointed going to the water park last summer, you are no longer able to leave and come back to the water park which means your forced to eat the food within the overpriced kiosks. Also all the slides that used to let you have your kids ride with you have had their rules changed...so if your going with little kids they cant use hardly any of the slides. Lastly the lack of seating for the amount of people, they need to open more public seating especially if they expect everyone to have to stay in the pool area all day and eat there. I really miss the old cabanas, they were so convenient, not to mention affordable. Now the prices at the water park are out of control also they have no coupons to use to save a bit. I doubt I will be visiting the mall for a long time mainly because I cant afford doing anything in the mall anymore.

Yeah their food options are terrible inside the waterpark. Sucks you cant exit and return anymore.

@@albertaziz7633 Yeah they used to let you exit and return (wristband and hand stamp) but now you have to pay again to re-enter. It’s already too expensive to go anyhow.

thank you for making a video like this. West Edmonton mall is my second favourite theme park. I am in Toronto Ontario and when I do go to Edmonton that Mall is number one on my list of things to do. When you do the theme park update can you please just panoramic view over where the roller coaster used to be? I’m dying to see what they’ve done to that spot. I’m almost tempted to fly just so I can see that. lol

@colefly1984 I was there a couple of weeks ago and it's still a depressingly empty gray concrete pit. I've heard rumors of a new ride but nothing visible happening yet

Mall is cool if you aren’t from Edmonton.. I live in Edmonton and have no desire to go anywhere near that place.. Holds no appeal to me.

@@Bigmakpaddywack I kind of understand but with me, I love roller coasters so to be able to go on a roller coaster in the middle of winter it’s pretty cool to me but like Wonderland is my Big closest theme park and some days are just like I don’t wanna go give me something different please

Full disclosure, the Slideboarding game has been down since 2020 since its function stopped working, and hasn't been officially serviced since sadly I doubt it'll come back despite it being a hit when it did work
