World Wonders Review: As Good As The (Hype) Name Advertised

We have this game for several months now and play it occasionally and we really like it indeed - all points you mention - I totally agree with you - beautiful game, fast, thinky but not overly complicated, great at all player counts - pretty much an awesome game in its category and definitely a keeper :)

How would you compare this to Planet Unknown and Wild Tiled West. And of the 3 how would you rank them best to worst?

It's a brilliant design, solo mode is really good too. It has amazing table presence as well.

Is this game better than Foundations of Rome in your opinion? Or is this just a cheaper and smaller box alternative?

Do you find that games that are lighter get more of a forgiving review because they are simply easier to get to the table?

As a player, I definitely find myself more forgiving with lighter games for that reason. And they're usually cheaper than heavier games.

i played enough tetris growing up, hence my indifference for polyomino. the mechanics of how you obtain the tiles might differ, the scoring might differ, but it feels basically the same everytime.

Man I need to play this. Bought it at essen and it’s sitting on the shelf since then. Too bad I got a disc buldge right now and cannot really sit :D (or stand). But as soon as I can, I’ll play this.
