Love the fact that Cram was doing the commentary for this race for the BBC and that his Dad , Geoff was the stadium announcer. Who would have thought that Europeans would have filled the first five places as well.

I also want to know. I couldn’t find a video of the women’s 400mh race anywhere and the race was absolutely legendary and record-breaking. If they want to grow the sport (which they claim to) then they should do far more to promote it online by posting full races right after they happen, instead of many months. They should also show more behind-the-scenes footage.

I don’t think we can quite count Hocker out, he has really come into form. It’ll be interesting to see if the college athlete will hit the standard to go to worlds given he had such a solid showing at USAs. The only thing just about everyone will agree on is that Ingebrigtsen is the heavy favorite

Mcsweyn needs some tactical help. Trying to run the outside of lane 2 around a turn to get into a spot that didn’t help him at all and then slowly fall back is step 1 of how to not race at champs. You might as well give everyone in front of you a 5 meter head start, at that level you can’t do that. 2 of the 3 medalists started the race at the very back and then gradually moved through the pack. No wasted movements. Not swinging out to the outside of lane 2 on a turn. Reminds me of Johnny Gregorek at USA’s a couple years ago. Slower paced race but Johnny spent a lot of time in lanes 2 and 3 and fighting for positions that didn’t matter

So sexist to call the MEN’s 1500 as blue ribboned but not the women’s. It’s quite shameful really
@Peter-hz3vs Жыл бұрын
Blue ribband signifies the challenging nature of the event. The true blue ribbands is probably 100m as it's the most popular. The 1500 meters is blue ribband because of the "4 minutes mile". It's just more popular due to it being able to attract wide audience and the historical significance. Women volleyball are more popular than male volleyball in Asia. It's not because it's sexist. It's popularity. There are no men rhythmic gymnastics and artistic swimming. If Olympic is sexist, it's towards men not women
