@@fetonghagoodluck71 The Olympics gold medal is more prestigious because of its history and the championship is only held every 4 years. The world championship is NOW held every 2 years. Chioma Ajunwa won a gold medal in Atlanta in 1996 in the long jump. Sunday won THREE medals at indoor world championships including a GOLD. Both competed for NIGERIA. Tobi is the first outdoors TRACK gold medalist and world record holder that competed under the Nigerian flag.

What Tobi Amusan achieved that night for Nigeria will never be forgotten in the world of athletics. Breaking world record two times the same day in the semifinals and final in 100mh women (12.12 and 12.06 sec) respectively even though the time of 12.06 sec was not ratified!! Tobi is a great woman and l believe she's still going to do more for herself and Nigeria in the years to come.

The wind gauge didn't fail. The wind was +2.5m/s in the final. So the time was wind-aided so doesn't count for record purposes. So her 12.12 in the semifinal is the official WR
