Who was David Wilkerson? - World Challenge 50th Annivesary

I sure loved David Wilkerson. When I heard him speak, it mostly shook me to the core. I felt his burden for lost. He didn't scare me, but he showed me the seriousness of the Word of God. We had a Man of God in our midst. One of a kind. Many blessings to everyone who loved him, we sure need men like that now. All I can say is thank you God for sharing David with us.

I've been listening to David Wilkerson for the last ten years. And what man of God did not back down from the tougher messages of the Bible. And he saw how the church of God, was more and more like the world. And the tragedy is that not many people listened to him 😥 God's rich blessing from Sweden 🇸🇪🙏

Thank You Jesus Christ for leading me to watch a sermon from David Wilkerson only 4 years ago. This man was a true man of God. All the glory be to the Lord who works wonders in those who submit to Him, are hungry and passionate for Him and are uncompromising. His sermons are very much for today. His warnings are for us and his voice is tender hearted just like a father. Thank you and congratulations World Challenge on your jubilee year. ❤️

I will be in church 38 years in October. I have only seen one other person like him in my life. He has taught me so much with my walk with the Lord when I didn't have a vehicle for 11 and 1/2 months and couldn't go to church that's when I found him on the internet and my mother always loved him anyway so I thought I was start listening to him I am so glad I did I still listen to his messages. To me there is no one in the world by Pastor David Wilkerson. He might be gone but the word of God still goes through him. And he still is a great help to Millions. I loved him for his honesty.

He was amazing. He loved God and people. Since I was a teenager in 1969 I held him in high regard. Wish I could find his books again. Read the cross and the switchblade when I was 16.

Bro. David was like one of the Bible prophets, put into our time. Even his written words have a weight that can only come from the presence of God. I heard him preach in person 40 years ago at a preachers conference. I still remember what he preached on, " A Heavenly Calling". He also made everyone laugh when he said yes, we have joy, but it's not like the Colgate grins you see on TV. His anointing was so great that every word settled on you like a weight, I never experienced that before or since. He could carry many names, but mostly, he was a MAN OF GOD, in the full sense of the word. I still thank God often for the blessing of his ministry.

I loved David Wilkerson and wish we had such a preacher here in New Zealand. I listened to him reading from his book "The Vision", how he described back in the 1970's what he saw would become of the world (and much of it has already happened already.). And whenever I feel anxious or overwhelmed about the state of the world, and now Covid, I remember David saying not to fear because GOD HAS EVERYTHING UNDER CONTROL! That message David gave us from God comforts and strengthens me.

My first exposure to David Wilkerson was "The cross & the switchblade. i checked it out from the public library. I've heard many of David's messages on cassett tape. he spoke with authority. i wish i had what he had, that close relationship with Christ. i am a christian but not so disciplined as i wish i were.

We had a ministry/discipleship center similar to a teen challenge center back in the 80's and got each weeks taped message and his newsletter. Both were so timely---like a breath from heaven. Today, Every Sunday when I get home from church I listen to one of his recorded messages and they are as inspiring now as they were then. Sooooo grateful for him.

He was truly Chosen by God to preach the Gospel to the World- World Wide!! I especially like the series The Vision, that God gave to David, it Has a Movement, that Only God can Give!! Another thing that He Spoke about is Hell, I believe he Reach and Grab it to speak the truth Concerning this issue!! I'm just a observer, but there is something to be Said about Him!! He Made his Mark in this world, Only by God's Help !!

Now my pastor who went to be with Lord in 2010 , was Also a Follower of God, his name is David j Meyer !! He has Amazing story of being Saved by Jesus!! Just wanted to share that with you!! David Wilkerson, I didn't know about him before his death, but everything he preached comes from the heart of God, and everything and I mean everything he said in his preachings would be the same Jesus tells me in my secret room of prayer. For sure Jesus spoke, and not him unlike other preachers. That is because Jesus abounded in his heart. Those who put their hearts not in men religion, but in Jesus the person, will understand the preachings
