Amen. Honestly never heard this way of viewing things but it makes so much sense. I know some groups that are very focused on making the church structured and functioning just like the New Testament but I have felt this can go too far and be a distraction from true spirituality.

Me to. There was a distinct presence of reverence when Pastor David was alive and Carter oversaw the assembly. There was absolutely nothing that reminded me of the world while I was in that sanctuary. I live in Washington state and was able to attend several times and Jesus did a deep deep work in me each time I attended. I know Gods doing a new thing but seems it would still bear witness. 😢 Pastor David came from another generation but speaking to all ages and ethnicities. Jesus is the same today as he was but it all just doesn't seem right anymore. It seems theres something wrong I can identify.

I sat next to Gwen Wilkerson in the back of the church once while visiting TSC. There was such a loving,abiding resolve radiant from her demeanor. As time went on and i grew in the Lord. I learned of the trials the Wilkersons endured and this message seems to explain why the Aroma of Jesus was so present in their lives and maybe why God chose Pastor Davids ministry to save me through. ❤

Pastor Gary, your father was right. There is no quick fix. If we truly want to be like Jesus, to know His heart and His mind, to be transformed into the image and likeness of Himself, it's only by the power of the Holy Spirit working in our lives that produces, a walk of holiness righteousness integrity and truth, and it only comes through obedience to His word, and death to us, our flesh and everything in us that stands apposed to Him.

Their was a story a minister named Ken Blue told about a deaf man that was walking by a dance studio and lookin and saw them dancing so he moved with the steps that the other people were making but he couldn't hear the music. Then there was a blind man that walked by the same door and heard the music and started dancing to his own rhythm, and not someone elses rhythm. This is like faith. We can hear God's voice and dance to His rhythm, not someone elses.

This message was real to me & spoke to my situation, that many are the afflictions of the righteous, many were the afflictions of Paul. So many Christians speak & believe a message that is the opposite of this. If things go wrong in peoples lives & they have many trials, sufferings & things going wrong that they automatically see it as sin in that person's life that must have caused it or worse still a demon. They just don't understand or accept this message that DW preached that we cannot expect an easy life & that God never promised us this but He speaks to us through the suffering, the pain, the isolation, the rejection & our circumstances to bring us closer to Him & make & mold us into what He wants us to be. Amen. 💟✝️🛐💜

Great sermon, but it seems he is saying if women are being physically abused by their husbands they should stay? I heard him mention abuse twice. Is this actually what he means? Just stay and pray? Turn the other cheek, and have faith? I agree with all the rest of the sermon.
@world_challengeАй бұрын
Thank you for your question. David Wilkerson did not advocate for wives and children to stay in dangerous or physically harmful environments. In cases of real abuse, those who can’t defend themselves should be protected and relocated to safer places. In this sermon, David’s point was more about addressing those who, especially those with common marital obstacles, are too quick to give up when faced with challenging circumstances. God often uses our difficult circumstances to form our character and do wonderous works in our lives (2 Corinthians 4:16-18, James 1:2-4). In cases of abuse, we believe that divorce should never be the first solution, but a last resort. God hates divorce and only allows it under certain circumstances (Matthew 5:31-32, Matthew 19:6, Malachi 2:16). There are instances when an abuser does repent and is transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. However, that does not mean that an abuse victim should stay in a harmful environment. We understand that David’s phrasing in this part of his sermon could have used a second glance or further clarification. World Challenge does not condone the exploitation or mistreatment of the innocent in any circumstance.

Wilkerson taught prosperity gospel which is not gospel at all. Gave many false prophecies from what I've seen and was a false teacher. Do not be mislead, look for yourself and compare his words to the word of god You cannot use the doctrine of man to correct the word of god. It's been said many times that if a prophet gives a single prophecy that is wrong then he doesn't speak from god. Do not be deceived by the false teachers if the age set to lure you in with teachings that tickle the ears to hear
@sherrimanco8472Ай бұрын
Can you send me a link? I just watch a video before this one where he calls out the false prosperity teachings Those teaching it was weighing on him heavy. You may be confusing him with than many that do teach the false prosperity gospel
@terahtexas3529Ай бұрын
Exactly which "prophecy" has he said that has not come to pass yet? His sermon "A call to Anguish" (back in the 70's)most assuredly has come to pass. And he was vilified by other ",christians" for speaking such a message of the impendingmoral downfall of this nation. But yet, he has been shown 2 be 💯 correct. And he has called out "prosperity pastors " ( prostitutes) numerous times. Maybe you have him confused with another minister. Or maybe U R a troll.
@godsgoodnessandgraceАй бұрын
No such thing as "prosperity gospel " The gospel brings us Christ our salvation and in Him is every good thing. 2 Cor. 8:9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that though He was rich yet for our sake He became poor that we through His proverty might be rich. Romans 8:32 He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all- how will he not also along with Him graciously give us all things? Proverty is a curse, Jesus set us free from the curse. ❤
