Once again, a rehomer saying, "We'll see what she's good at, what she enjoys" vs " *I* think this horse ought to jump/do dressage" etc. Fabulous. WHW extends far beyond the farms, barns, & staff... The rehomers are uniformly excellent!

Awww how cute she is Wilma. And I dont know what gets me the most - the pony's acceptance of having the rider on top of her and her willingness to learn and serve - or the way the rider ride her so gently with so soft hands and legs and feet. Its so easy to see that this pony have found her dream home where she will be understood and have riders on her back that are intuitive and understand how she works - and what she LIKES. Its so touching I feel

What a wonderful end to a horrific story, she is a super mare and looks fabulous. Good luck with her and all of the other rescue cases, Great job Horse Welfare but what a tragedy that any horse has to get into such a desperate condition in the first place

So I love the idea of rehoming a horse, but I live in the United States. I'm assuming that they (World Horse Welfare) couldn't send a horse over here, so does anyone know of a good organization that rescues and re-homes horses in North America?

Can a horse cry? I know horses are smart, and I wonder what they think of the abuse they get. I know horses can sense danger, fear and sadness. Cab a horse forget all their past when placed with a loving and caring person. Do they get over it, or do they need help in overcoming the abuse?
@emmyrainwright71418 жыл бұрын
Horses can't cry. But they can feel feelings like fear, happiness, anger. They never forget! But they forgive. And that's the best thing with horses. Ofcourse they need help after they've been saved.

How much was this horse?
@hannahlove38708 жыл бұрын
Rescue horses are for free
@jadine57478 жыл бұрын
They are not free I'm afraid. The RSPCA charge between £50 for a companion to £500 for a ridden horse that's been 'brought on'. The World Horse Welfare (where this horse came from) charge between £20 to £400 and you have to be or become ChampionPlus members of WHW but it's only £30 per year and this gives you public liability cover. You'll be home checked and they will usually visit twice a year to check on the horse too. The horse will usually not come with tack/rugs/grooming kit etc either. These charities do such a amazing job and if you can give a horse a home it's wonderful! :-)
