BATS TAKE OVER THIS CITY (I was shocked) 🇱🇰

This evening me and my friend Hashir take a trip out on the Lake in Kandy via a $12 private boat ride. The boat ride was a quick ride and then we walked a few meters over to visit the Temple of the the Sacred Tooth. After exploring the temple, wee walked back down by the lake and the bats took over around 6:30/7pm making tons of noises and flying everywhere.

Tooth Temple is the most secred Buddhist worship place. It's like a Vatican to Christians or mecca to Muslims. Millions of Buddhists & tourists from all over the world and locals pay hommeg to lord Buddha. Temple complex is the former ROYAL PALACE OF THE KINGDOM OF KANDY. IN THE MONTH OF JULY and August annually there's a massive traditional prossession with 100s of beautifully dressed elephants & 1000s of traditionally dressed dancer's and drummers parading the streets of KANDY for 12 NIGHTS It's called ESALA PERAHERA SOMETHING UNIQE.& WELL ORGANISE. . Loved It Machaan... ❤️ don't forget to hike Adam's Peak in sinhala ( Sri Padhaya) with king Ali , Luke and Harry Machaans. the sunrise view on top is incredibly beautiful ✌️. Its also a Buddhist temple (sacred footprint of loard Buddha) located in Hatton. its second highest mountain in Sri Lanka 7359ft Above the sea level. Temperature is around 4 - 5 celsius.

There s a bat garden n badulla. Also u can see biggest waterfall dunhindha. Train trip to badulla is also nice. Also try kithulgala water rafting with friends. Even riverston n bear waterfall in rattota s gd.

The “black duck” which you saw in the Kandy lake is called the Indian cormorant. The “orange package” is called Ataprikara which is offered to the Buddha. It consist of robes which the monks wear in general and a few other items which the monks use in their simplistic life. Keep it rollling Mac, watching every bit of it daily 🔥🙌🏻🇱🇰

I thought "Atapkirikara" was not an offering made to the Buddha? Isn't it an offering made to Buddhist monks because they contain eight ("ata") things that monks need, like a robe, a bowl for eating, a blade to shave, needle and thread to fix their robe, etc - why would you offer that to the Buddha?

@@KD-zj4ye all offerings to The Buddha are symbolic gestures acknowledgement of His great qualities, the enormous sacrifices He made on our behalf, hence becoming the most worthy of receiving any form of offerings as a gesture of gratitude and reverence. Same way as making food offerings in the highest possible standard, though 2600 years after He passed away.

Marhaba Mac & Hi Hashir... so nice to see your adventure on the boat ... the lake is sooo beautiful... all the green nature... the Kings house or temple... birds & bats ... nice view.... I always love to see other people's holy place where they worship & that Temple was very nice... Hashir had a good way to explain things... & Mac always make the whole journey so much fun & enjoyable to watch.... Those Birds or Bats... I had an experience when I used to live in Jordan like over 30 years ago i was a child I lived in a very beautiful street famous one in Amman City there was a famous De La Sallle boys school.. in Jabal Hussein ... back then was the most famous street ... every night the bats filled the air & the trees... they eat from that certain tree I don't recall the name of it.. but when I go out with my family at night or come back home the whole area & trees were full of bats... next morning our cars will be filled with their poop😂 ... so the sky in Kandy are filled with thousands of those bats probably the trees there are their food.... very nice video .. I loved it 😻💞

It used to piss off the mother's in my neighborhood SO much when it was heard their sons were reported to be playing "Batman" at the tennis courts at dusk for a couple hours. The girls narced us out ..Batman stood in the middle of the gated tennis courts and could not move until given the "ALL CLEAR!" by his friends who just threw tennis balls in a sock up in the air and hopefully for them to land as close to Batman as possible. The tennis courts were surrounded by woods on three sides and we're full of very large bats. I've looked in the face of many scowling bats right in front me .. 😄. Dada DADA Dada Dada Dada Dada DAH! Batmaaaaan !
