7:23 that nice perfume smell actually comes from oud oil and atar perfume that Qataris, arabs and a lot of people in the gulf region wear and yes it stays on for hours if not days and because of how popular they are there are small shops all over malls selling them and giving out free samples to people hence the nice smell

The malls will close for Friday prayers for at least an hour. The restaurants and grocery stores too. But they will reopen for the rest of the day and closing hours are usually 1-2 hours later on Friday and Saturday. It’s best to check the timings on Google or call ahead and find out.

I forgot to mention that usually, the grocery stores and malls do open for a few hours BEFORE the Friday prayers. Also, Mall of Qatar is considered a little far by most people. Even though it really isn’t that far and the roads going there are amazing with medium traffic. The area is actually less congested than other areas. MOQ is one of our two favourite malls here😀

You could have taken METRO to go to the Mall of Qatar .. It costs only 2 QAR .. Metro ride directly leads you to the mall.. LOVE from SRI LANKA 🇱🇰

I recomend you to visit some of the best places in Qatar which is, Vendome mall, Katara , Alhazm mall (outdoor mall) , Msheireb downtown .. National Museum of Qatar.. banana island.. The pearl of Qatar.

Qatar has a luxury high end side, but the majority of the population work hard to live a very normal life... yes there are some very expensive spots, but also lots of regular medium range outlets to shop at and enjoy...there are wealthy people in Qatar but the majority of the population work hard and have regular routines trying to live comfortably like in any other country. This mall is thought of as quite a distance to drive to by many, so it may be a bit slow to fill up on weekends... other malls are very busy Friday mornings, then everything closes at prayer time for afew hours... so people leave home, do lunch, chores, relax and mostly venture out again late afternoon.

I can see the world as whole and make my own judgments. Oh and I studied the 3 predominant religions and I can comfortably say that I know a lot more than the average person about their own religion they're following. And guess what, I don't believe in any of them anymore, because I "educated myself". And by the way, my brother works between Qatar and Dubai and he has nothing but good to say about Qatari people.
