God, I saw the cover art of this in a game store once before I even knew how to properly read, and for the life of me never thought I'd find out what its gameplay was like (since my family, predictably for early 90s parents, was not keen on impulse buying their elementary school kid a video game, leave alone one he knew nothing about.) Thanks for this, man, I thought that for me this was just going to be a mystery lost to time forever.

This is why video games are important pieces of animation. Think about it for a minute or two. With all of these 2D platformer games, there’s always a lot of hard work that goes into making every single sprite and every single frame of animation be as fluid as possible. I can definitely appreciate stuff like that. Man, I wish there were more people in the world who appreciated presentation the way I do. Garfield: Caught in the Act is another great example of a game that’s very well animated, as is The Lion King and Aladdin (Genesis) for example. It’s just so nice to see how well these games look, even today. Art is definitely beautiful, isn’t it?

As I only had the SNES port of this game growing up, it's interesting to see the differences between versions. A bit dismayed that the two extra Mickeys were not shown, but the first would have led to skipping the Mad Doctor fight, and I've always thought that dodging all those potions and bones was quite a challenge. Overall, this was a good run.
