I remember raging so hard at this game, but now watching gameplay footage of it, it doesn't look that hard, i don't know why i used to struggle completing the game.

it was same for me but i completed this game at least X20 times enjoying the difficulty of mystick and merlock levels! Edit: i was wrong i played donald duck Goin's Quackers on game boy color!

It is hard. Many factors...the small screen, the obstacles and enemies are sometimes hard to watch, the animation is not fluid. It's a fun game though

as a child I loved this game. I remembered by heart the codes of the levels that I like best. to date, twenty years from then, I still remember only one. and I think I will remember it for the rest of my life

Donald goes above and beyond through a dozen or so danger filled levels to save Daisy and can basically survive longer than thirty minutes like a boss.....but then he can't be bothered to even use heal magic on Sora and has a tendency to go out like a punk in a matter of seconds. I really hate this duck.....

Ubisoft basically repackaging a Rayman title as Donald Duck? Sure why not Also, what is with Ubisoft's fascination with Comic Sans in so many of their older games?

Maybe, because Disney Interactive himself cannot make the game on its own alone, instead of contacting to Ubisoft to help to create the basis of the game. The reason of this, is because, the game's engine is slightly similar to the Rayman Advance one.

If someone wants to know if it should play this version of the one from the Gameboy Color, I absolutely recommend to play both games. The layout is the same in both games but the level design and some gimmicks are different between the two games. By the way if you think that noise that Donald makes everytime he jumps is annoying don't worry you can deactived it in the options menu. This game is awesome by the way.

I've played this game not long ago on my GBA emulator (Which was Visual Boy Advance) ,and i played very well, only took me a few save states to beat some hard levels and the final boss. 😅 BTW, unsurprisingly, one of few good GBA platforming games on the 2001 era, actually. 😊

Goodies: FMV is decent. It is one of first GBA games having FMV. But there is only one FMV, because Game Boy Advance has limits. Controls. Music. Funny graphics. It looks like either a SNES game (and at that gaves SNES and GBA players nostalgic) or Jungle Book for Genesis, NES, Master System, Game Gear and Game Boy. Not to mention, it is superior to PS1 counterpart. Level design. Baddies: Cutscenes are images that are good improvements to their GBC counterparts. Ubi Soft logo glitches in some emulators, like John GBAC. The choice of levels has moved away from other versions.

The GBC's audio compresion cannot be replicated the GBA hardware soundchip, so they used compresed and shortened versions of the N64 soundtrack instead. 😅

GBC version was better, as for this it was kinda disappointing because the game had no bosses and the music was taken from the gamecube.

Its is, because this game uses an game engine called: SimilarGBA. Which closely tries to replicate the GBC gameplay on a GBA hardware. 😅

Wait, they remade the game for GBA? Eh... it doesn't look that great The Game Boy Colour version of this game is my childhood... somehow this version has worse soundtrack and sound effects than from older version :( They changed a lot of the enviroments and removed the Bosses in the end of the each stage... If someone wants to play this game, I recommend the GBC version

Julio Galvan I would....I grew up with it too and it seems like it's somehow the better version. They don't even take advantage of the graphical power of the gba like they could from the looks of it. Same limited color palette as the gbc version XD
