Try this. Before you sleep tonight, make sure your iphone is more than 50% battery. Then turn on the airplane mode. Then shutdown your phone til morning. When you wake up, go to a place with signal then power on your iphone.

thank you so much, this fixed it!!! and I am going to share my dumbass story if it can help anyone! My iphone protection case was broken (from the inside so could't see it without taking it off) and yes you've guessed it, glitter from inside the protection case got onto the sim card and was cutting off the connection! Cleaning it sorted it out. So relieved don't have to pay for repairs or worse buy another iphone (although now i only buy reconditioned apple products to try to be a bit more ecological but still, very relieved this cost is avoided). Now I just have to buy a new protection case! Might avoid the glitter ones now. Update: shortly afterwards it stopped working again. So then I did step 2: reboot. And it worked again. Then stopped working. So did loads of steps that didn't work until I did the massaging and spanking iphone method!! It connected again but then disconnected so I spanked again and it came back. Waiting now to see if it keeps working but I wonder why it keeps connecting and then disconnecting. Maybe bits of glitter moving around?

Absolutely INSANE. Not only had the cellular service gone out, the entire cellular section in my phone was BLANK, so I was unable to do any of the hacks that involved toggling different switches in cellular. What did work (thank goodness because there is NO genius Bar during SIP) was banging my F'ing phone on my hand. THANKS SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL!! Crazy!!

Everyone has the same problem, but there’s no fix. Only fix is taking it into apple or just getting a new phone :/ My phone will just go from searching and no service. I try to reset Network Settings but it freezes on the screen and when I take the SIM card out it continues to search and say no service. No more apple products for me lol.
