Setup/Pair BMW to Garage Door (2 Ways)

For clarification on the second method, for some doors you need to program the button with the remote as demonstrated in the first method, then press the program button on the garage door, then go back to the vehicle and press the programmed button 3 times to allow the garage to learn your car’s signal.

Thankyou!! The Genie Openers seem to all be rolling code. Just brought home a new/used 2020 BMW M540i with 16,000 miles. Happy Day. Don't have to spoil the visor by clipping the opener to it.

great vid, but when telling to hold both remote and mirror mention hold the remote behind the mirror and it will work 100%, then with rolling code mention press 6 times for 3 seconds each. Had to call support to learn this to get my stubborn BMW to work. Thanks

My sistet has been trying to program her and my moms beamers for 8 years lol. I just programmed both in 5 min lop. Ty for tour viewo buddy it helped alot.

I have an issue that I can’t find info on. I have my home garage programmed. I also have a different garage door miles away. When you push the buttons 1 and 3 it erases all stored codes. So when I want to program the second door it erases my home door. And when I program the home again it erased the second door. How do you get a second and third programmed without erasing all of the previous stored codes?

At first, neither method worked for me. I saw a separate video for Mercedes that stated that for the second method, some garage doors require you to press the button on your mirror two or three times. It worked for me on the third press!

Yes u need remote in order to setup. U can order a replacement garage remote.
